if it takes you 14 times to make a dunk-you should not win.
although that dunk over spud was great |

iggy.
and on another note: isn't there supposed to be some sort of limit on dunk attempts? there's no way that a player should be allowed to stand out there and try a dunk over and over again in front of a nationally televised audience--that's what practice is for.
it should be three tries and it's over. |

yeah, if you watched it, you were in pain watching nate try over and over again. Magic had it right when he was saying nate should just give it up and do a dunk he knew he could make for the fans.
I hope they put a limit on attempts next year. |

no.
obviously 14 attempts is a little excessive.
but unlimited attempts allows for a more creative dunk contest. when you have 2 or 3 attempts and out, then guys settle for easy dunks that they can make, so that they can win the championship.
if nate had known that he only had 2 attempts per scored dunk, would he have even attempted to go between the legs...or go off the backboard? doubtful.
would iggy have tried to go off the back of the backboard? that's a little risky. it took him 2 attempts.
remember 3 years ago?
jason richardson went off the glass and between the legs. but in the second round he missed one of his dunks, and subsequently got a low score. so fred jones just did an easy dunk, and won the competition.
that's twice as weak as attempting a dunk 14 times. |

I think Nate should have won also
The last dunk by Iggy was lame.. Luke Walton could have done that dunk
I personally enjoyed the contest.. no way you could not respect Nates effort.. the man gave it his all and then some |

Iggy for the most spectacular (non-game) dunk I've ever seen. That one behind the backboard was just sick. |

Nate for the replay value of all those dunks.
I hadn't made up my mind until Iggy did lame dunks after lame dunks to end the contest. |
