| Anybody got the feeling that they only play with effort when they are about to lose the 8th and last seed? I sure do, why can't this team play with this kind of effort every game? |

| Just have to avoid Phoenix or SA. If we get Dallas we may be able to push it to 6 or 7. |

considering how they've been playing, the players (and us fans) should be more than relieved to be still in 8th.
the frustrating thing about this squad is that, if they played consistently to their potential, they could probably be 6th-7th, and at least a comfortable 8th, but their inconsistency makes them a desperate 8th. |

If only we could find a way to finish 6th, we would have a pretty good chance of getting past the first round, since we would be playing either Denver or Utah.

The Lakers have to go on a winning streak to make it to #6. It seems possible, but they have to gel as a team to make it happen.
