|
|
Hi,
I'm just curious on what are the particulars of the supposed trade that got Haleyed. Who were the players included and when was this supposed to have happened.
In hindsight, what would placing could we have been and what pieces of our current Laker team that wouldn't be here if it did happen.

I believe it was going to be Caron Butler, a pick and Vlade's expiring contract for Boozer. But I'm not sure if that's entirely accurate.
The difference would have been Boozer w/o Kwame and Laron Profit. Good or bad no one can really say. |

it wouldve been caron butler, divac, and devean george leaving. if i remember correctly, even devean gave a "goodbye" speech. it was supposed to happen rite after last year's all star game and rite before the trade deadline. biggest problem with the deal is boozer's salary, we wouldve been over the cap with 3 players. but our team wouldve been incredible under the triangle with boozer able to hit that 15 foot jumper and provide some back to the basket scoring. |

Thanks Sage, tenguy.
Would Boozer have tip the scales that we would not have gotten Bynum? Also, for the 2nd round, was Turiaf or Von our pick? |

Boozer has the skills and intelligence to be an excellent triangle player. He seemed to move away from playing as much defense, but the ability is there. He might still get traded to the Lakers this Summer. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. I wouldnt be surprised to see if Utah is now waiting to see where LA's pick is going to be. Package w/ Mihm or Kwame w/ some sign and trade opportunities for Booz. |

Actually we might've received a better draft pick since we would've lost Butler and Boozer was injured all of last year. Maybe Chris Paul? but not likely - I think we still would've drafted the A-bomb even if it was earlier. _________________ The great Laker Center Tradition continues.....Mikan, Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, Gasol, AD....Gasol. |
