At this point in his career, IF his jumper is still there, JJ is mostly offense
and not that quick anymore on defense.
That would probably make him closer to offensively-tuned guys like
Smush or B.Cook - but I don't see them on your poll there.
Kind of a limiting poll to begin with though, don'tcha think? |

I wouldn't classify him as any of those players. I think he's better than Luke, Sasha, and Deaven, but he's not close to being in Lamar's class. So to answer the question, I think he'll have some impact, but probably not too much. I'm going to be cautiously optimistic about the JJ signing. _________________ I'm like a Hadouken, down-right Fierce! |

This poll is misleading.
If THE SHOES or critical_beatdown think that Jim Jackson is a stud waiting in the wings, they will vote on "Lamar type".
One the other hand, if bounty or Gamecock_MD think he's going to suck bigtime, they'll choose the Lamar option too.
How'll you make out what people really think about Jim Jackson?

I think he will be a Devean George type player, making some shots and playing some decent D. I don't expect too much out of him or don't know how many minutes he will even play the remaining season. |

He's a more experienced and well rounded Devean George. I wouldn't be surprised if Phil makes him play sort of a Steve Kerr, Brian Shaw kind of role. The guy who hits clutch 3's, unlike Devean last night. |

Assuming he picks up the offense quickly, he could easily be the backcourt guard that will be in during the 4th Quarter w/ Kobe. _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...

Mihm type - Effective and fairly consistant on O (much fewer minutes though). Average D. that will get exposed on some nights. |

Last year he played pretty solid ith Phoenix, his outside shot was there. I hope he's in shape ! _________________ The Kings are unbeaten in 10 home games since Artest's arrival, beating opponents by an average of 16 points per game. I really hope he can just come in and hit some outside shots, open things up, and maybe ignite a run or two every now and then. Nothing huge, just what Eddie House did for the Clippers a few years ago. |

Not only a Sudanese election. We don't have to go far to find an election where there is no right answer. Bush vs Kerry. That was painful. I knew I'd be screwed no matter which direction I went. It was definitely a case of choose your poison and which way you'd like to have your eyeballs slowly drained of their inerts... _________________ I'm On point, On task, On message, and Off drugs. He has to play to make an impact. That's the first step. |

I wanted to vote too, but couldn't find a choice that fit.
maybe if it could be reworded by level of impact instead of Laker players... _________________ BORN REBLE |

My main expectation of JJ is that he'll fill the void left by Laron Profit's injury, and provide the second unit with some offense so we don't have to cut short Kobe's rest. |

How about a Ron Harper / Brian Shaw type.... your choices aren't at all indicative of JJ's abilities
Smart veteran D & a steadying hand on offence |
