So he can stop having these MVP games against us!!!
Whether he was in Philly, San Antonio, Golden State N.O. it just doesn't matter. Speedy is going to do a job on the Lakers! _________________ "According to ESPN.com's conference projections, the Lakers will finish 12th in the West, which prompted Bryant to tweet earlier this offseason, "12th I see.."

we've let go a lot of players who were there for the picking. _________________ "Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money & position in society are the cups. Isn't he a free agent this summer?
Probably the second best free agent point guard available this summer after Jason Terry. _________________ BORN REBLE |

Terry would be a fit for the triangle, Big, can shoot and score. |

True.
Speedy is a WARRIOR!
And Kobe needs more warriors along side him.
Speedy can hang with Kobe's (and Ronny's, George's and Mihm's) high-energy, passionate, "warrior" mentality.
More ballers like that, Mitch!! _________________ Everything. Changes. |

Every point guard tears up the Lakers. Speedy aint exactly alone in that. Heck, we were practically beaten single-handedly by Gary frickin' Payton on Christmas day. |

We need a guard that can keep up with the younger faster Guards and I say we need to get Ty Lue back in a Laker uniform so he can defend against the Likes of Iverson, West, Claxton, Nash, and that dude from Denver. |

Jason Terry is big? The Jayson Terry from UofA now playing in Dallas? Did he grow or am I thinking of someone else. Clarification, please. _________________ "For we look not at the things that are seen but at the things that are unseen. For the things seen are temporary and the things unseen are eternal" |

As long as Phil is here they won't sign anyone if he isn't at least 6"6' to play point or initiator.

Thats the rub. Not only is Claxton 5'11" but only 165 lbs as well.
Has had an injury prone career.
And PJ likes to have PGs that can switch and defend at least a SG if not a SF.
But Mitch did trade for Marcus Banks at 6'2" 200 lbs. We had him until Payton refused to show in Boston.
Maybe we can sign him this summer as a FA. |

Maybe we can still get Banks and Duhon but as long as Sasha is around they probably don't want to reteach the PG stuff to newbies. We could have also had B Diddy or Arenas but Mitch, Phil, or Logo were happy with more "Team oriented" and less selfish players to better balance the offense around Kobe and Lardo when he was here. |

Of course, the Banks trade was when we didn't think Phil was gonna be
our coach.
All the same Phil-things factor in now.
I wouldn't count on Banks, although I like the guy.
Turnover-prone, but certainly a bulldog on defense. |

I've always liked Speedy. I think he showed alot of heart when he was with the Spurs and came up big in their games. Speedy would be a great fit because he is fearless. |
