we are now in a position to take the 7th seed _________________ Tracy McGrady, the player closest to matching Kobe in pure individual ability, was 'no picnic to deal with either. I heard that every time someone says 'get back on defense,' his back hurts. "the last season'-Phil Jackson |

7th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its a lot better being aggressive and looking at moving up, than defensive -- looking over your shoulder trying to preserve a lead.
Lakers got a step closer to 6th today!!!!!
I'm just going to take a moment and enjoy this.
I'm sure Debbie Downer will be by to spoil it soon enough. _________________ BORN REBLE |

Not to get greedy here - or to encourage the handful of LG homers who
are about to swear up and down that we'll go 15-4 the rest of the season,
but the Grizz did manage to lose to.
That puts us 1 and 1/2 games behind the 6th-seed.
I hate to even think too much about it, cuz we still have plenty of work
to do just to make sure and keep a playoff-spot.
But that 6th seed is SOOOOO valuable to us, because the 3rd seed is
not only the weakest home-court seed - but with a solid streak could
arguably have a worst record than us and give us home-court in the
first-round.
Denver themselves is only 2 games up on us at the moment. |

The 7th spot may be fool's gold for us. Right now the 8th would play Dallas while the 7th would get the Suns. We always match up better against Dallas. Now ... if we can climb into 6th. THAT would be the best ... matching up against Denver |

Exactly.
6th and we know it's Denver or (slight possibility) the Jazz.
Either of those teams is clearly the best draw.
I agree, we're much better-off facing Dallas than the Suns.
But that 8th seed could well (and I think will) be reclaimed by the Spurs
before the season is up. |
