Over the years, as a Laker fan, I also came to appreciate other franchises in the game.

So when a player makes the hall of fame, I appreciate what he did for the game.

As a side interest, i also am really curious about how other teams have honored their own histories -- such as the players they have chosen to retire jerseys for.

For a while now, I have been searching google for images of the banners teams display in their stadiums to honor their players.

Its not easy to see. I try to look real hard as cameras pan across the rafters when the Lakers come to visit, but that ends up being pretty hard.

So this may be an odd request, or it may be that some of you do the same thing.

Its not too hard to see photos from the teams with more of a winning legacy like our lakers, and also the Celtics and Bulls. Spurs too lately.

But if you have any pics of banners from teams like the Pistons, Cavs, Rockets I'd appreciate any help you could give.

Thanks.

Boston's Retired Jersey's are a disgrace. They pretty much retire ANYONE who was on a championship team.

On a side note, if you have ever been to the Smith Center in Chapel Hill, their retired Jersey's are freaking INSANE.
