The way it should be. Nothing made me happier than to see the Lakers take it to San Antonio and then for the Bruins to take it to Lute Olson for the third time this season..

Go ucLAKERS.

Bout time JJ snapped out of it. This isn't helping his draft position at all.

It does look real bright. And if Farmar declares for the draft in 2 years and if Lakers are in position and w/o a future PG, they should nab him.

GO BRUINS!!!

That being said, honestly -- could the Laker backup guards start on the Bruins?

Probably not...

Truer words were never spoken. Very nice to see UCLA back where it should be. Lakers could learn a few things from true on/off the ball defense. They play the FULL game. Shows it is possible.

UCLA dominates the Pac-10 this year and with Keefe and Spica coming in next year, and possibly Love & Singler in 2007, DAMN! Look out, it could be a back-to-back National Championship team. Look at this possible lineup for 2007...
PG-Farmar (Sr.)
Sg-Afflalo (Sr.)
SF-Shipp (RS Jr.)
PF-Mbah A Moute (Jr.)
C-Keefe (So.)
BENCH
G-Collison (Jr.)
G-Spica (So.)
G-Roll (Jr.)
F-Singler (Fr.)
F-Mata (Sr.)
F-Wright (Jr.)
C-Love (Fr.)
C-Aboya (Jr.)

Oh! you poor misguided child. It's okay, I don't blame you. You are just a victim of poor upbringing.

He was for the Pac 10 Tournament, not for the NCAA Tournament. Drunk driving. The kid should be done for the year. Lute is a puS$y.

Poor upbringing, Dylan? It must be hard going to a public school. Big classes, noone really cares about you..... Well, you get what you pay for.
When I see you at McDonalds, remember, I'll take extra fries with that.
Thanks,
Taly

We become self-sufficient coming out of UCLA because we've managed to overcome the difficulties of a public school, which correspond to a thing called real life. In real life, everything is big and no one cares about you. Will a rich millionaire just give you money for nothing? No. USC grads start to miss having people to hold their hands.

Last I went to McDonalds, the guy behind the counter wore a USC Alumni pin and somehow gave me $4 extra in change and fries when I didn't order any. That's real bright. I bet he graduated with honors.

Sticking to the topic of Lakers, I think Afflalo could be a good backup for Kobe when he declares. He's a good defender and has a decent offensive game.

You are a living stereotype. Let me just clarify a few things for you since you think you're better than the rest of us.

At USC, you're paying 35k a year for tuition while at UCLA they're paying 6500. In every academic publication, UCLA surpasses USC and in some categories it's not even close. By the way, tell our current mayor, who was celebrating with the Bruins yesterday in Staples, to serve you some McDonalds since he is a UCLA graduate. Another FYI - Bruin graduates, Shapiro and Cochran had to bail out your famous alumnus, OJ Simpson, or else he would be rotting his life in jail instead of "searching" for the killers.

Now go get daddy's credit card and buy yourself a new S600, while Bruins actually attend law and medical schools (UCLA sends the most undergraduates in the country to law and medical school).

I will say USC is a fine university, but like other UCLA students and alums, it was my second choice. Hence, the title, "University of Second Choice."

At USC, she's not a snob, she's the norm.

In the real world, she is not only a snob, but rude.

Trojans like to trumpet this and that about class, yet many prove to be are the biggest haters.

If they cannot win with some class, why expect them to lose with some.

The irony is that although they finished with ONE less loss than UCLA did this year, most Bruins will give SC and Bush their props through clenched teeth.

During the football season, ON THIS, A BASKETBALL BOARD, there were many a thread that went up regarding the trojan football season.

I am not saying there was not some Bruin dissent on those threads, but they were appropriate for the boards.

So a thread about both UCLA AND the Lakers should be acceptable.

Go back to enjoying your football season, 2 years ago.

Excuse me while I enjoy my Bruin basketball, education, and locale.

BTW- I helped send three future Trojans there next year in Travon Patterson, Vincent Joseph, and Alfred Rowe. So feel free to thank me later, when Tray is going house or Vincent is locking down an opposing WR. I wish them, mah boys, the best. Just not some of their future classmates.

Okay, I'm done with you.

Wow! Quite a response for just a little lighthearted ribbing. I meant nothing by it. But obviously I hit a nerve. Sorry. I've met and known people from many dif schools. Some are wonderful people, some were not. Which school they went to had nothing to do with it.

As far as working at McD's, I try to show the guy working the front counter the same respect I would show anyone else. I have had life kick the tar out of me a couple times and have come out on top. I get the feeling you have not even graduated yet and think you know what the real "Life after college" world is like. I hope you are not in for too rude of an awakening. Best of luck.

If I could afford private school, with my 1560/800/760/780 SAT scores, I would've gone to a real private university, not some mediocre school in the ghetto like USC.

An by the way, that's why your belly is sticking out of your jeans.

May I suggest that you stop paying so much for mediocre education and invest in your future by getting a full-body liposuction? (done by one of the fine UC med school graduates in the plastic surgery industry, of course).

Nice bracket. If Coach Howland keeps them playing at the same level as in the Pac 10 Tournament, the potential is there.

Here's to the Bruins staying healthy.
