They just added Tim Thomas. The guy has mad skills. Imagine THIS lineup:

C Amare
PF Tim Thomas
SF Boris Diaw
SG Matrix
PG Nash

^^This lineup could average 110 ppg - and these are just the starters. Jones, Raja Bell, House, Barbosa and company coming off the bench could be hard to match up with.

LA, you better get some better defensive TEAM player out there. Otherwise Phoenix will kick arse if Amare comes back 100%.

Diaw will be the real problem in the playoffs. They effectively have two setup men now; the Spurs can't just play a box D and force Nash to take all the shots.

The biggest problem will be getting to play the Suns. That would mean either earning the seventh seed, or advancing to the second round. Right now, getting into the Playoffs is in doubt. Whoever the Lakers have to play is okay. They have to beat everyone along the way. Just making the Playoffs is my concern.

phoenix could very well go to the finals as long as amare doesn't come back and ruin it.

It's amazing how even adjusting to an All-Star type player can upset things by taking a team out of it's winning pattern. A time ago, Chirs Webber returned to the Kings. The fans were very happy, until the Kings finished the remaining games of the season around .500. They brought him in too fast, which disrupted the team.
