this trade will be a good trade. I was one of the fans who didnt like the trade. After some video footage & reading, I love the the trade. in 2004 kwame was a 11ppg 7.4reb player Mihm before coming here best season was 6.9ppg 6.4rebs 1bpg 46%fg in 17.8mpg his first game as a laker he had 23pts 12rebs 1ast 2blocks and avg 10ppg 7rebs & 1.44bpg 50%fg in 25mpg. Because of Mihm playing with a marked man in Kobe Bryanthe avg career highs in fg% & pts. If Mihm wasnt benched for the rest of the game because of fouls he would have avg 12ppg & 8rebs 1.7bpg for the season. Kwame is more talented than Mihm. Hes a better rebounder, scorer, defender,& finisher around the basket because hes gonna dunk it hard instead of layup like Mihm. Like Mihm Kwame as been under two avg coaches who didnt know how to use him.(not that rudy did either) But when he was placed on the court with a player like kobe its easy to get 10ppg alone because ur sharing the court. Kwame also showed the ability to play 30mpg while only picking up 1.9 fouls per game. Kwame is also better at creating his own points. Throw in Pjax Kobe & Odom and the Triangle. I dont think its a stretch to say he cant avg 16ppg 9rebs 1bpg this season. Looking at his stats he improved every season except last years injury season. So with that said i dont see how its a bad trade he wont avg 11ppg 7.4rpg. his game is not gonna get any worst it can only get better. _________________ "Formerly known as The_Butler_Did_It"

"Kwame also showed the ability to play 30mpg while only picking up 1.9 fouls per game"
That's not necessarily a good thing. He has the potential to be a great defender, but he hasn't shown it in Washington. You could argue that 1.9 fouls is because he doesn't play any D.
Anyway, I'm all for this deal. I have a feeling he wants to show the world what he can do and prove to Washington that they are wrong. |

The best reason to hope Kwame can turn things around is that his averages last season were a product of only about 23 minutes per game. With that he still had about 7 points and 6 boards.
So if you do the basic math (and of course it's not that simple, but to ballpark it), that would have him paced for about 12 points and 10 boards if he played 36-38 mpg.
Chances are he doesn't get that minutes, but still the point is, people quote his averages from last year pretty often without mentioning how few minutes he had to produce those numbers.
(still think we got the short end, but Kwame ain't bad don't get me wrong)

I dont think the Lakers will regret this trade,Brown might not trun out to be a better player than Butler, but he will be just what the Lakers need in their system _________________ "99% of the players in the NBA would immediately have surgery to repair a torn ligament in their small finger, but
