This guy is on the olympic team?

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=260326025

Quote:
"It's just dirty basketball. It's plain, outright, dirty basketball," Allen said. "You guys have chronicled our battles over the last couple of years and I don't mind the competition, someone going at me on both ends of the floor. ... But when guys start throwing elbows and kick you when you're down, that's dirty basketball and I don't respect guys like that."

Afterward, Bowen was apologetic, admitting it was a mistake. Allen believes the Spurs' forward should be fined.

"I did what I did and I'm sorry for that," Bowen said. "But there's nothing I can do to take it back."

I hate Ray Allen so I have no remorse but once again Bruce shows that he plays DIRTY!
I have said this for along time now...He holds , grabs, elbows , sticks his foot out ETC and its sad because he is on americas Bandwagon and they get all the calls!
KARMA WILL BE A (bleep)!

Bruce is a great defender...and a dirty player at the same time. That was pretty classless. But still, I can't stand Ray when he starts talking, so whatever.

Good, this makes me happy. Gay Allen is a little beeatch and deserves a good swift kick in the rear.

^^^But it didn't happen to Kobe. It happened to Ray-Ray.

Bruce Lee Bowen has too much respect for Kobe to try something that dirty on him. They've been going mano a mano for years and it's pretty much been straight up. He knows at the end of the day, Kobe will just make him pay for it on the court. But he really effs with Ray Ray and Vincee-Poo because they CRY about him!!! He has absolutely no respect for them.

Kicking a guy is uncalled for in the NBA. Nothing to cry about.

so.. it is acceptable to be dirty if the player who is being assaulted whines about it?

Bruce Bowen is trash. His guerilla tactics are only protected by the refs who let him rough house his opponents all game. Karate kicks to players faces, walking underneath jump shooters, and unnecessary elbowing and grabbing and premeditated kicks do not make a good defender.

He better get at least a one-game suspension. It was a dead play when he did that crap.

Oh and it was Ray Ray that frustrated him all game. Notice the Spurs lost and Ray Ray torched Bowen for 33 pts and the GW,

Bowen was the one who "accidentally" kicked Kobe around the knee in one playoff game, he's also the guy who always plant his feet under Kobe as he goes up for the jumper. Kobe landed on his foot and tweaked his ankle and was pissed. So don't think for a minute Bowen was playing straight up against Kobe. I don't mind a guy who bump and grab to try to get advantage, but Bowen is a piece of crap who deliberately tries to injure others. I wish someone would give him a Karl Malone type elbow and gives him about 20 stitches.

I don't really care that it happened to Ray Ray, but Bowen needs to be checked by the referees. It is long overdue. Did you guys see them talking about this on Best Damn last night? They all said it was pretty classless. Jalen was on, talking about the NYK soap opera. "Can't we all just get along?" I like Jalen, he's pretty hilarious.

Bull.

Amazing how everyone forgets Kobe laying on his stomach midcourt during the 2002/2003 playoffs with Bruce stepping over Kobe and walking on his left wrist.

He had the whole court but intentionally deciding stepping on Kobe was something he wanted to do.

I don't get the Bowen lovefest.

I don't think it's a Bowen lovefest so much as a Ray Allen hatefest. Just because he did it to a player you don't like doesn't make him any less dirty.

Yeah, where is the video? A direct link, not a link to the ESPN coverage of the game.
