They've won 12 straight and their big 3 - Kidd, Jefferson, Carter - are as good as any big 3 in the league. Kristic and Collins are also solid players.
I'd take them over the Heat, but not so sure about the Pistons. |

If Indy can get that 6th spot, Nets will be a 1st round flop. Book it. _________________ Pain is temporary, at the end of pain is success... |

Nah, Mo'town's the league's second best team after San Antonio. Nets do have a great chance against the Heat in 2nd round, though. I personally - surprise, surprise - would like to see them face the Pistons in the ECF. _________________ I want to say something about Dwayne Wade, but I fear I may get called for a foul.

Yeah, they're still soft and will get pounded by a team like Detroit, but like everyone else here, I think they have a good shot against Miami. The Pacers can take down the Nets though - especially if JO rounds into shape well. |

They're playing extremely well at this time of year when it matters most however I'm still hesitant to take them over the Pistons. Over the Heat, quite possibly. |

Krstic has become the front court player they needed to help out their excellent perimeter guys. The Nets are my dark horse pick to come out of the East, and considering the alternatives, I'd be very happy to see it. Don't forget they took the Pistons to seven games a couple of years ago, with a worse team than they have now. |

I really don't think they'll be able bigtime in the playoffs without solid players inside. Miami and Detroit will be hard to beat in the playoffs with Kristic and J Collins up front. |
