Congrats to Nique. My favorite non-Laker of all-time. I've never seen a more explosive player in my life with that much power.
For some reason he never got the respect he deserved. Slam dunk championships stolen away, didn't make the top 50, took two years to make the HOF; but he was still the human highlight reel. _________________ The great Laker Center Tradition continues.....Mikan, Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, Gasol, AD....Gasol. |

I've always said he's probably the most underrated player of all time. Glad to see him get some respect. I can still remember as a kid, when he and Jordan were having great years and they were actually thought of as equals. It was similar to the homerun race between Sosa and McGwire. Everyone was always checking to see how each player did every night. But that's how good Nique was. He was actually, at one point, on the same level as Jordan. Jordan has become a God since then, but Nique had some amazing years nonetheless. |

His name is already on the "Customer Of Month" -wall in some fast-food restaurant in Houston. _________________ I want to say something about Dwayne Wade, but I fear I may get called for a foul.

while I too hold some regard for 'nique the player, come on, he is way overrated...how many titles did he win??
if we hold a player like Kobe to such strict fortitudes, can we truley say that #21 is deserved of such an honor? to go to battle and always lose?

Nique was not overrated; he had the misfortune of playing for a dubious GM. I still would've liked to have seen what Nique and Magic would've done.
And for the record, Kobe already cemented his greatness through his contributions on the championship teams; anything else is gravy. _________________ "In essence, the trade was: Shaq, Rick Fox and Gary Payton for Odom, Kwame, Mihm, Profit, 2nd round picks, a 1st round pick and 30 million in luxury tax saviings." - LakerJam

No doubt, Ziggy.
Nique was this ferocious force out on the floor, tough to describe his game. Just a whirlwind. |

He was a marginal candidate, because his teams generally didn't do well in the Playoffs. He was All-NBA first team only once. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that." ~~Martin Luther King Jr.~~ |

Charles made it too, and so did Joe Dumars.
Adrian Dantley, Chet Walker, Ralph Sampson (?!) were on the final ballot but didn't make it.
i was kind of hoping Charles would get held back a little after leaving Kobe off his 60 greatest list. I do like Charles, but some of the ideas he comes up with are just plain dumb.
But congrats to all 3. _________________ BORN REBLE |

This is what happens when you spend a majority of your career with the Hawks. _________________ Defense is my business, and business is good! |

Best in Dunks in my opinion (bearing in mind he was a figure of the 80s).
Made every play stilish.
Barely could shoot when he entered the NBA.
Improved continously. |
