Raef Lafrentz - Marksman or stiff?
can anyone explain why a big guy, well built and 6'11', who played for team USA and was a good rebounder and shot blocker in Denver, is now nothing but a 3pt shooter in the frountcourt crippled celtics?

Doc Rivers and Nellie...could you say something about this?

I don't think they're using him right.

That said, he's always been very inconsistent, and while a shot blocker, not much of a man defender. Add the fact he had some kinda really bad injury years back (knee?) that he has never seemed to really recover from.

Besides, they wanna give all the time they can to Jefferson, Perkins, and now Gomes.

Raef is in a Juwan Howard situation.

If he was making MLE money the fans would be happy with him,the media would not be on his case, and he would be much more comfortable playing in Boston and his numbers would improve IMO.

But at $10 per the fans and the media expect much more from the guy.

It puts pressure on him and he knows he has a big contract so he puts pressure on himself.

But don't cry for Raef.

OH,poor Raef the burdens of making $10 per year playing basketball.

So to answer your question at $10 he is a stiff.

Good point about the 10M

The guy sometimes looks like a (bleep) by the looks on his face.

Saw him play at Kansas, and the outside shot was a bonus, not his life supoort back then.

I like Raef's situation in Boston a lot, just for the sake of someone called S*mmons. Swallow that (bleep), S*mmons! Your Celtics are worse than Kobe alone., even if he had no hands and no legs.
