OOOOOOOOOOhhh do I agree. A Claxton, and Smush combination would be ssssssssoooo damn perfect. Speedy is small, and quick!
Just like Money said, time for Jax to start fighting fire with fire. Forget about Marcus Banks! Speedy has been kicking our asses every since he was in Philly! He left there, and went to San Antonio where he brought that same can of LAKER WHUP ASS! For some reason the Spurs got tired of whipping the Lakers so they let Claxton go! The Lakers were so happy about that, they took the Spurs out in the following seasons playoffs!
The story continues on to Golden State! More Claxton, more Laker ass whoopins of which Speed was the main reason! If Speedy opts out of N.O. he will be worth every last penny the Lakers can offer him!
JUST PULL HIM OFF OF THE LAKERS ASS!!!!
Please Lord!!!
Speedy plays decent D too. All the speedy guards that make a living running all over the Lakers would be seriously addressed. Jackson has got to make a 5foot 11inch acception just this one time... Besides Jax likes vets. Speedy will be about 28 next year.
I with Matt Money! The best way to stop Claxton is to put him in a Laker uniform!
As for Dev the jury is still out on him. The last time he got such a huge payraise is because of a stellar playoffs. Will he be DA MAN in this playoffs? I hope the hell so... Good triangle ready players are always a plus... _________________ "According to ESPN.com's conference projections, the Lakers will finish 12th in the West, which prompted Bryant to tweet earlier this offseason, "12th I see.."

MLE doesn't need to go to George. The Lakers have his bird rights and can sign him up to the max, if they want to.
Claxton is interesting. The question is - will he fit into the Triangle? He seems more of a penetration type of guard to me. I think Phil is looking for a shooting guard that can handle the ball like a point - and at the same defend the position. |

Claxton would be a specialty guy to spell Smush, and Sasha who I suspect will finally lick his mental issues with his shot next season. I'm also thinking that JJ will be gone after this season, and McKie is a big question mark. Can he stay healthy is always the the question with Aaron. I like Claxton for the same reason people like Banks... Only Speedy can seriously hurt you. Marcus can't... It is as you say Wolfy, interesting... He is a penetrator for sure, but his pull up J can be sweet... I just wonder... _________________ "According to ESPN.com's conference projections, the Lakers will finish 12th in the West, which prompted Bryant to tweet earlier this offseason, "12th I see.." |

I dig Speedy. And while he doesn't have a great J, he can hit it regularly enough. Besides, like The Shoes is saying, his role would be more of a change of pace type guard off the bench to put on smaller guards and offer another guy who can break players off the dribble - even within the triangle. He's not a bad choice. |
