Quote: | When was the last time you pumped your own gas?
Yesterday. I do all of life’s daily tasks. The other day my wife and I stopped at 7-Eleven and I pulled up to the pump and I started to pump some gas. She went inside to buy something and was waiting in line. The guy in front of her sees me outside but doesn’t see her. He says, “Man, there’s Kobe Bryant pumping his own gas.” My wife says to the guy, “He wipes his own ass, too.” |

To this day I’ve never seen that game. I don’t feel the need to watch it. What am I going to learn? I don’t watch those tapes. If I’m watching film it’s usually for an upcoming opponent. |
He's lying. I wonder who has the bigger ego between, Kobe, LeBron, Shaq, and Jordan. |

Thanks for that, really fantastic interview.
Kobe really seems at peace with himself these days instead of giving out the PC answers.
As a Laker fan I feel privileged to have watched his whole career to date and love the fact that he always has that supreme confidence in himself. There will always be haters but those same cats would still loved to have had Kobe playing on their team. _________________ "The advice I get from Magic, Michael and those guys, that's always sacred," Bryant said. Question
Quote: | Does it feel like the last 17 years have gone by fast? |
Answer
Quote: | It feels like the blink of an eye. I just think about how different I was back then. There are so many specific days that I can remember like they happened yesterday. When I was a rookie in my first training camp in Hawaii, I ordered a bowl of cereal from room service. They were Frosted Flakes with a little thing of milk that came to $80! In 1996! I said "hell no" and told them to take it back. I got dressed and walked down to the corner store and bought a jug of milk and a big box of Frosted Flakes for like $10.

"Is it hard to be your teammate?
No. That’s so overrated. If you come in ready to work, then we’re good. Then we don’t have a problem."
Yep. That's why he gets along with scrubs who play hard and work hard.
Also it was awesome to hear about his 1-on-1 games with T-Mac. _________________ Lakers win record when Kobe goes for 40+ points

That was a cool interview. Kobe has evolved his media game about as much as he has his basketball game over the years. He's gone from one of the least interesting interviews to on of the most. |

Wow...if I was him, I'd watch that performance over and over again. 81 freaking points by one individual. Second highest scoring game of all time. Wilt's doesn't matter because nobody saw it and it was much easier for him. Kobe's was incredible...felt like a video game.
His comments about Kyrie and especially T-mac were hilarious, I love that he's showing his cocky side again, enough with that politically correct BS. An all-time legend like him should be cocky. |

Kobe has really turned into a great interviewer. You can see his years of experience and maturity shine through in these. I enjoy reading every word of his interviews now...

It's hard to believe he never watched that game. But then, why would he lie about that? The dude has had so many amazing performances prior to that. Maybe he's just tired of watching his great feats? |
