Lakers are 18-9 when Dwight gets at least 10 FGA.

I understand part of it is on Dwight to be aggressive and dive, which I wasn't doing earlier, but we've all seen some games where they don't try to get him the ball.

Nonetheless, if only for the last 2 or 4 games, Howard's been putting in the effort and you can see the Lakers have been feeding him more.

I assume you aren't considering FG attempts where he is fouled as FG attempts. That would likely change the statistics.

The Lakers are also 10-3 in the last 13, no matter how much any individual player shoots.

No, I didn't. The point was the last few games have seen a great mix of Dwight showing effort offensively and Lakers actually feeding him.

At that pace, we would have 37 wins. It's up to Dwight to WORK for the ball EVEN if he doesn't receive it EVERY possession. He's been MARVELOUS since the break! Very proud of him!!!

Phil Jackson gave the blue print.

Shame the Lakers need to be going through this.

Dwight's a really good player still, with his injuries and limitations and all. No matter how bad anyone thinks his post game is, anyone who thinks an offense where MWP is shooting more shots than Howard is a good a offense is crazy.

That was basically our offense most of this year. Guys like MWP, Meeks etc all taking 3's and a lot of jumpers at the expense of getting the ball to Dwight off movement or posting up.

At least now finally it seems we've become less reliant on 3 point shooting. Thank you god.

they get him the ball every single game. its on him to not get stripped, which takes away from another FG attempt. he gets hacked a lot in some games cause they dont think he will make ft's. that will also take away fg attempts.

so if dwight hits the ft's, and doesnt get stripped. he will have the FG attempts.

Someone should start a thread with that as the actual topic.

Not really, not all of his 5 or 7 FGA games are strictly do to turnovers or getting stripped, a la both games versus Miami.

But like I said TWICE, it's not just on Lakers, a lot of times, I'd argue the majority, Howard's lack of touches has been at least 51% his own fault.

22 and 14 the last two...Keep this going, along with Kobe being a ball dominant player, this team will be scary. use your special weapons, Howard should be getting 14/16 shots a night...

He did tonight. Actually Dwight got around 20 fga's if you count the freethrows. He shot 12 Ft's so thats about 6 fga's.

3-9 when he plays and doesn't reach double digits. They are 3-3 when he doesn't play at all.
