Steriods can really only make a good hitter a great hitter, they can't make a below average player into an all star. Although its likely he used steriods, Bonds is still an amazing baseball player. I just wish there was the same kind of outcry when McGwire got the season record or with Giambi or Canseco. It seems that the media is either quick to hate him because he's black or because he didn't cater to their every whim. Either way its wrong, and it shows how immature and insecure some media analysts can be. |

Yodasbeast, I agree with you 100% about the media, however, there is some pretty damning evidence in the book about Barry, but no kind of public evidence has come out around McGwire. Giambi and Canseco admitted it and weren't challenging for any sort of records, so less of a spotlight for them.
Sure, those other guys deserve to get raked over the coals as well, but Barry's made his bed with the media and there's evidence all around him where nothing has come out around McGwire (yet), even though it's pretty obvious. |

THis has nothing to do with race. McGwire caught his fair share of flack back in '98 for using Andro, and that stuff was legal and over the counter at the time. Not to mention his career and reputation are now completely shredded after the congressional hearings. Sammy Sosa has recieved pretty much the same treatment and there is far, FAR less evidence that he juiced as there is with Bonds. Same goes with Raffy Palmiero. The media loves to tear down the people it builds up, regardless of race. Barry just makes it easier for them to do it. |

You think people hate on Kobe? I and most others hate this twat 1000x more than that. The dude is such an overrated, drugged up POS, he should be banned, and all his stats wiped. |

That's Bonds before he got all pumped up. Doesn't look like the same human being.
Even so, still took Barroid Bonds a 1,000 more at bats to pass Ruth. |

Write us when your 42 and show us that you have the same physique you had at 25. Why don't you post Barry's season stats from that year with the Pirates? Because it would invalidate your argument. _________________ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mu3vkwP3GHQ |

Actually Barry was a 500/500 player before the roids, so I think if it's not on the MLB banned substance list, take it, but beware of the gub'ment. |
