As I keep repeating over and over. The Mavs have owned the heat this year and last. There's no way Miami will beat them in a 7 game series with Dallas having HCA. |

I wouldn't count either team entirely out. Pistons have come back from down 3-1, and down 3-2 multiple times. If the Spurs steal game 6 in Dallas, all the pressure goes back to the Mavs to win Game 7.
But Yeah, They are closer than I could have imagined. |

Not that I know of. It's just that for the last week or so I have been predicting a HEAT championship this year. Both teams that can actually beat the Heat are close to elimation and both teams are running on very tired legs from several years of deep playoff experiences. And the Heat bench is the best in the league IMHO. In fact, many times the Heat are better when Shaq sits the pine. A lot of options for Riles to go to if he needs. _________________ "Why do you think bad things happen, anyway???" "So we have something good to look forward to."

If there were a Mavs and Heat finals match up, it wouldn't even be close. Have you guys been watching Dallas? Jesus, Mavs in 6 at most. And no, I'm not biased just because I live near Dallas. _________________ "I accepted their challenge. I accepted the doubt of everyone who spoke on my downfall and used their words as fuel. ^^^^ I doubt it. The Heat are stacked and have been able to coast through most of the season trying to find their post-season legs and floor combinations. Although the LAST team I want to see win it this year is the Heat, my gut instinct say right now they are the team to beat, all things considered. _________________ "Why do you think bad things happen, anyway???" If Shaq wins, people will hopefully start to put some blame on kupcake.
the collapse to the suns and shaq winning will constitute a perfect storm and forced management to make moves. |

I agree that the Heat hasn't been looking very good. However, the Mavs are looking good because they have raised their clutch level to the limit. But that doesn't mean that the Heat can't. It will be very interesting to see if Riley can get Walker to perform under true pressure(which they haven't been faced with any so far.) |

Getting Walker to perform under pressure is a pipe dream, imo. He can try throwing up a bunch of threes like he did with the Celtics, but that's not going to work all the time and certainly won't help momentum. _________________ "I accepted their challenge. They've played Chicago and New Jersey. Let's see them play an elite team.
(Notice how they did in regular season against the top teams in the west.) _________________ "I accepted their challenge. I accepted the doubt of everyone who spoke on my downfall and used their words as fuel. I have a franchise to resurrect, a city of fans to uplift." |

Walker was a key contributor on a NCAA championship team.
The Heat looked shaky early, but they are jelling now.
Is it enough to win it all? Don't know. If the Pistons go down, if the Spurs go down...could be. _________________ M. Hicks

The "elite" teams are about to be eliminated, and even if they aren't, they are running on very tired legs from many years of deep postseason play - just like the Lakers in year four when they were knocked out by the Spurs. _________________ "Why do you think bad things happen, anyway???" That's about the dumbest logic I've seen.
IF the Heat were to somehow win it all, it would be despite Snaq... not because of Snaq. |

I'd take a tired Spurs or Mavs team over the Heat any day. Ok, not any day, but the best of seven days. _________________ "I accepted their challenge. I think the Mavs have way too many weapons for the Heat to contain with thier mediocre defense. If you ask me they match up better with the Spurs.
But Detroit and San aren't out just yet so it doesn't matter much. |
