i was surfing the dick bavetta thread, and thought back to mark cuban's blog on the refs.

since stern and the entire NBA depend on the fans/the viewers, don't we have any power in terms of expressing our discontent?

every fan of every team have had complaints about the refs. of course when we're rooting for our favorite teams, there is going to be a bias. however, i wonder if there was some unofficial poll or something after each game that could be created, where you'd register 'your team' and you could rate the officials' performance?

a ref version of the all-star voting? something like the nation-wide espn polls?

maybe not for EACH game, since interest is limited. but for games that are nationally broadcasted? definately the playoffs...lebron's traveling/tonight's 5-sec calls against detroit/bell's clothesline, etc.

just some ideas.
