Who do you guys think is a better player?
I think of both of these guys as traditional 2 guards (even though they both can play the 3). Great off ball movement, great shooting, and the ability to put it on the floor and get to the rim.
You really can't go wrong but my vote is Klay. Hope he ends up on the Lake Show eventually |

I think Klay is better now. But that's also because he has way better teammates. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I don't think gordon hayward is that good at all. I think he's overrated.
In 5 years he'll basically be Kyle Korver. Which is pretty much the ideal shooting role player, but not anything more than that.
Klay on the other hand, I think will become one of those players that is not a star but is definitely a contributor to a championship team.
I am also biased towards Klay because he is Mychal's son. _________________ Kobe

Hayward is a totally different player. Korver is a pure shooter; Hayward likes to take people off the dribble and is a good but not great shooter. Hayward also actually plays some defense. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I wouldn't say "good." He's a decent positional defender, but not an iso-defender. I remember when he was on Chicago against the HEAT. They took turns roasting him on iso defense. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Hayward is way better a defender than Thompson. but Thompson is a better offensive player. so i guess you can pick either one base on what you looking for. |

I think you are the only person I have ever seen post that. Thompson guards the opponents best offensive wing player, it was always Kobe against the Lakers. I think you have that backwards. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

that's because Warriors often used Barnes as PF last year, that left Klay guarding Kobe. if Barnes plays his natural SF/SG position, he'd be on Kobe. |

Sigh, Klay should be a Laker. Maybe he would have been if Dwight didn't have like twenty different baby mamas. |

I would've loved a sign and trade for Thompson or Barnes. For a few hours it looked like that was going to happen too. |

Too bad batman told Dwight to go to Houston. Instead of a team that would have been instant WC favorites.
I guess Bruce Wayne isn't a great GM |

Klay is going to be a Laker soon....so obviously he's better.
Maybe when Hayward reaches his 14th birthday he might be able to compete. |

I seriously believe that Dwight chose Houston because he didn't want to deal with California child support laws. Golden state was by far the best situation for him after they got Iguodala. |

Nope, Ws didn't debut small ball with Barnes until Lee went out in the playoffs. They hardly ran Barnes at PF before then. It was always either Landry, Lee or even Draymond Green at the 4. (Wife is a huge Ws fan.)
Here are the stats the show:

I don't know anything about Gordon Hayward, but Klay has gotten to be a decent defender. Not sure I'd put him on any All-Defensive teams just yet but I'd say he's better than average at this point. He's been working hard on D. |

Absolutely. Especially since Dwight is purportedly a "Christian" (interesting version that he practices...but that's neither here nor there), it would seem he and Mark "Stripper Affair" Jackson would be ideal. Just imagine:
Curry
Klay (would have lost Bogut and either Barnes/Klay)
Iggy
Lee
Dwight
That's championship material right there. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I'll take Hayward. Not as good a 3P shooter, but still pretty good. More athleticism, and a better defender and passer. I think he breaks out this year if he stays healthy. |

Gordon Hayward should have a better career. More all-around game and very hard worker. This time he should be starting on the Jazz so no reason he won't be averaging some nice stats. Oh yeah and forgot to add, very underrated defense.
Which is why I hate 24 on the LG fantasy league for grabbing him before I could
