Not at all, i think he was remotely succesfull in golden state, a little fuzzy though, but golden state has stunk for the last decade overall, so tough too judge him on that. Kings are no a defensive team, which i believe is musslemans calling card. Not suprsing that bibby is on the block, or should i say being shopped around. The kings arent fond of his free lancing, steve nash style of play anymore. |

Damn. Mussleman is a good choice. I was hoping they'd go for Don "Fred Flinstone" Nelson. _________________ Dumbledore closed his eyes and slowly lowered his head before Kupchak. "Teach me," he whispered. |

Personel is needed to be a defensive team. When Adelman had Webber, Divac, Christie, and a Jackson they played very good defense. Vlade and Chris gave them plenty of size to defend inside with Pollard off the bench. Christie was mentioned in the same breath as Bowen and Bobby was quick enough to guard the faster guys in the league and do a respectable job. Even this season as soon as they added Artest their defense improved a lot. You just can't expect a team that starts Bibby, Peja, Shareef, and Miller to be any good on defense. None of them has ever been known to be anything more than below average defensively. Getting Wells back and adding Artest made them a lot better. I'm no Rick Adelman lover but he done a incredible job during his time in Sucktown. |

He's a good coach, but wears out his welcome with the players fairly quickly. I actually thought Adelman was a good coach who got a raw deal... |

Good coach. Mussleman is a gym rat/ coaching FREAK. Smart hire.

Read an article a few weeks back, basically stating what i wrote. Made sense too me, many expected bibby too explode this year and honestly he didnt. And with their new defense philosophy, bibby is much more expandable than he was when they were run adn gun and needed a top notch pg. |

Eric Musselman's a good coach with a lot of potential, from the little I've seen. But he's no better than what they had. Rick may not be able to get a team over the hump, but he's better than most in the NBA when it comes to winning a lot of games and getting to the playoffs every year. If you're not gonna bring in someone that's gonna take you over the top, why bother?? Especially for an upstart coach that that was fired from his only headcoaching gig some 3 years ago.
Interesting firing/hiring. _________________ So glad we gave you your flowers while you were here, Kobe. |

Good hire by the Kings. Unlike Adelman, Mussleman preaches defense. |

Pretty good coach but is this a good fit for the soft queens? Isn't Mussleman a tough as nails type of guy? |

So what does the hiring of a Kings coach have to do with the Lakers? Get back to me when your scenario comes true and we'll see what I have to say about that. _________________ I'm like a Hadouken, down-right Fierce! |

You obviously didn't watch any of the Kings after the Artest trade. |

I agree. I like Little Muss (his dad was a coaching cult legend) a lot and was proposing him for the Lakers job among others when they made the bonehead Rudy T move.
One thing Sacramento has shown is the ability to make good decisions in their moves.
This would be another one. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |
