During ESPN's "Sports Center" - these Shaq in the NBA Finals Facts were stated:

Averaged 32 Points / 14 Boards, but his teams had a 13-11 record.

For a player that recently averaged 20M a year, should we expect more from him and/or at least not be afraid to play him in the final minutes of crucial games. Has anybody seen where Yao, Tim Duncan, Amare, Rasheed, Kevin Garnett, McHale, Vlade, Kareem, Parish, Wilt (even with his bad free-throw percentage), Russell, Reed, Hakeem, Ewing, etc.) are playing at the end of important games?

Take out the 1995 Finals (Sweep by the Rockets) and the 2004 Finals (1-4 loss to the Pistons) and the record becomes 12-3...

The Rockets series had Hakeem, which basically cancelled out Shaq (Shaq had 28-12.5-2.5, Hakeem had 33-9-2), but Horry exploded for 18-10-2.3 over the series. The Pistons...well you know the rest. Payton was like -15ppg at the PG spot, and Malone got Maloowned.

Take out everything except the 2002 Finals, and the record becomes 4-0.

! Thank You! I was reading these posts and was like what the heck are they talking about, obviously if he didnt lose any games the record would be better and he would have 5 championships, and he wouldnt have ever came too L.A, or as a matter of a fact, he probably wouldnt have even been too 4 finals had he one the first one in orlando.

Lol...I guess I should welcome myself to LG.net then.

But the most important stat is, take out all the games he won, and he was 0-11. This guy is the biggest choker of all time! He never won!

Shaq's record in NBA finals games when Kobe does not play beside him: 0 - 5

That's the only stat that really matters.
