Why doesn't anyone seem to have the first clue on how to guard this guy?

All they have to do is refer to game video of Kwame guarding him this year.

PUSH HIM OUT TO 16-18 FEET BEFORE HE GETS THE FREAKING BALL.

They let him catch it 4 feet from the friggin basket then wonder why he either scores or gets an assist.

And yes, it is physically difficult to do this, but nobody can tell me it can't be done after I witnessed Kwame do it consistently for two entire games. Diop has the physical strength to get it done.

Diop doesn't. Dampier does.

Whoever. They have big centers with size.

It just takes effort and commitment. And I realize you can't do it EVERY play, but you can do it most plays. The guy is worthless that far from the rim. Kwame made him look SILLY for several minutes at a time earlier this year.

I know Kwame physically is a beast, but Dampier and Diop aren't small either.

You can't guard Snaq, even at this age, effectively if you let him catch the ball right next to the rim. Defense begins for him, like it does for any good big man, before he gets the ball.

easier said than done. Thats like telling defenders to keep Kobe away from the ball to stop him from scoring so much.

The best way to guard Shaq is let him play in the triangle. Is there any better way in keep him from getting the ball close to the basket?

I am just shocked that teams are still allowing Snaq to get dunks and layups in the paint when he literally cannot make a FT.

It is horrible strategy to let him shoot from one inch away when you can embarrass him and mind f him by having him try to make two shots from 15 feet away.

What I love about the strategy best is it completely deflates his own team when he goes to the line and throws up stones over and over again. It is demoralizing to his squad and I expect the Mavs to play him with a lot more single coverage and foul him a lot more when he does get close to the hoop because it is becoming more and more obvious Snaq is done.
