Lakers: They forego the 2014 free agent class and set their eyes on the 2015 free agent class with this trade. They also get 2 young players on their rookie contracts. They put in motion their rebuilding plan. Lakers will not be able to pursue 2014 free agents as they will have about $57 million in contracts (mainly Kobe and Amare) but they will still be under the salary cap which is $62.1 million in 2014-15 season.
Knicks: They get out of paying Amare and are able to improve their roster to make a push for playoffs. Both financial and wins driven.
Bobcats: They historically have had trouble signing players to play for them. In this trade, they get Mayo on a 3 year deal to play both PG and SG. They also cut current year salary by $9 million.
Bucks: They get out of Mayo's long term contract to give Giannis more playing time. They can also send Gary Neal, whom they are trying to trade, to the Bobcats for more salary relief. They get Gasol on expiring deal to help develop their young big men (Sanders and Henson).
All teams, except the Lakers, improve their overall win totals.

Too many players.
Also not much reason for Milwaukee to do that. Give them a prospect:
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=n2eknek
Tolliver is filler: they could also trade Pargo or Adrien in his stead.
I know you want to dump nash, but it's not going to happen. _________________ Kobe |

The trade you have works too. I think New York will take Nash if they can pawn off Amare. Total salary over 2 years for Knicks if they make my trade is 35.3m versus $53m if they dont.
Bucks do my trade to get out of the $24 million commitment to Mayo and have Gasol mentor Henson and Sanders.
Lastly, all because it's a lot of players doesn't mean it can't happen. It's harder but still possible.

4 way deals hardly happen and if they do it's to match a salary and add a pick or 2 . Too many "star" like players in this deal. Owners would get lost in negotiations tbh haha |

There are no players in this trade that I would say are stars. The biggest names, Amare, Nash, and Gasol, are all at the end of their careers.
I do agree it would be difficult to complete this trade due to the number of players but not impossible. Each team has incentive to complete the proposed trade whether its to win or save money. |

Are there any teams that would want Pau on their roster? Like trade for him? |

This trade is looking better for the teams involved.
1. There are rumors that Melo is likely to leave the Knicks. The trade would clear the Knicks future salary and will allow them to get under the cap sooner rather than later to rebuild.
2. The relationship between Bucks and Mayo has been getting worse. This will allows Bucks to get out of Mayo's 3 year deal. |

1. There is no way Melo will sign with the Lakers for just a 2 year deal. It would be for the max deal which I think is 4 years if you are signed as a free agent.
2. This team would not be able to sign free agents in the summer of 2015 where there are more players will be available compared to the summer of 2014.
3. This team will not be playing any defense. Only person that makes an effort on defense is Hinrich.
This team will just be stuck in mediocrity as a low seeded playoff team. |

So much wrong with it man... If you have Hollins you dont need two stretch 4's, not even one i would argue. What you would need would be players that can defend and there's like only two guys on that roster that can play above average D (Hinrich and Wes Johnson, Embiid is not gonna happen, sorry).
So yeah, with that roster you have to go to a different coach and maybe add two decent defensive players or so and then yeah, maybe we can argue. I'll just tell ya that Hinrich cant be no starter in this league, he's way too injury prone, Hinrich with Marshall is just lackluster for a team with playoff ambitions.
Also, Sacre is not a nba player. I'm sorry cau'se he's an excellent locker room guy and all but just that. He cant play with the big boys |

When you have stars in your team (carmelo, kobe,...) you need players with a low salary (sacre, marshall,...) to make it possible... R.Sacre can be a good player to play 6 or 8 minutes per game... If you have Gasol and Embiid in the rooster this will be Sacre´s role.
K.Hinrich is a good point guard but he start to be old... However he has experience and defense... I want him for the starting lineup playing 18 or 22 minutes per game while marshall is growing up in the league. Marshall will play the same even more minutes.
K.Marshall is a good three point shooter and make 10 assist per game... Is perfect for LA. They dont need a star point guard who keep to much the ball or who make 15 or 20 shoots per game having carmelo and kobe in the roster. If kendall improve his defense there is no reason to transfer him because of his low salary. He is the new Dereck Fisher younger and fast.
Channing Frye is a good shooter power forward.. He let the space that gasol need in the paint and also he is good in the paint... He would be the perfect power forward for next season... If LA have the possibility to get K.Love in 2015/16 they will not renovate C.Frye, K.Hinrich and maybe N.Young... They can offer 15.000.000$ to him in the first year increasing in 2016/17 when gasol leave the team and kobe will renovate with a low contract. 15 million - 19 million - 21 million - 22 million for example.
Joel Embiid is a REAL possibility. LA is one of the worst nba teams this season. They have 3 starter injured... one of them is K.Bryant... Most of the players are very young and they arent stars... Gasol is not enough and for sure he will injure himself in any moment to lose some matches.. Mike D´antony is the coach... They have the perfect excuse not to win most of the matches. This season will be the turning point to be an awesome team in the early future.
Kobe bryant shouldnt play any match if he is not sure... We need him to be 100% for next season. This is a training season for him.. LA need him to come back as black mamba next season.
S.Nash should retire... It was a F* bad business.. And he will want to earn every single dollar he has in his contract... Maybe with a little bit of luck he doesnt get to play more than 10 or 15 matches this year and finally he decides to retire on summer. I pray for it.. Nowadays with his age and skills he is worst than marshall, blake and farmar... and he is going to earn 9,5 million $... :/:/:/
I love Lionel Hollins and his way to get the best of every player. His way to play as a team. And i think he is really able to manage a roster with all stars. He can show the team how to get a better defense.. maybe is not only the players what you need to have a great defense... It is also a good system... A good motivational man... Anyway LA can sign any defense player as sefolosha who is free in summer.. |

Have you addressed the fact that the CBA does not allow the Lakers to put this team together in the first place? (salary cap). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

A good transfer with Denver:
Denver: JaVale McGee + Jordan Hamilton + Quincy Miller
Lakers: Jordan Hill + Steve Blake + Chris Kaman + Nick Young
And L.A get a really good Center = JaVale McGee
...and two good young men
Denver get space in the salary cap for the next year and they get N.Young who is a really good player. |
