|
|
"One of the teams that's had some interest in the Raptor point guard (Mike James) for a while, and a team that could desperately use his unique brand of skills, is the Cleveland Cavaliers. According to someone who knows the Cavs well, they think James has the speed, shooting skill and point guard tools to be a huge upgrade from Eric Snow and Cleveland has had some legitimate interest for a couple of seasons."

For all the hype and interest James is getting, I feel like he's going to be a let down next season for whoever signs him. He's over the 30 mark, has had one truly good season, and did that on a horrible team. Don't get me wrong, he's good, but I don't know if he's as good as the recent hype. |

I'd still take him. He's 6 years younger than Sam Cassell. _________________ SCHROEDER/CARUSO/COOK

One reason I could see that the Cavs would not do this is because they already have a player named James and their announcers would try to block the deal due to confusion. |

Ha, yeah, but that James goes by "King James" or "Lebron". |

I guess Im the only one on the board who doesnt believe in the over 30 crap..... and NO!! Im not over 30, Im 24!! Yes players do get older, slower, ect.... I dont buy into that lest sign a vet for experience crap either! A good player is a good player. I still think GP is a great PG although hes older and slower, but he can still play the game!
My point is just because someone is older and slower, doesnt mean they cant be just as effective as when they were younger! Other aspects of their game grow! Mike James is an example! Hes 30 somthin but his game still continues to grow!!! _________________ Thanks,

On the bright side for the league, if they did pick him up, there could be a spike in Lebron jersey sales if they decide to make him wear L. James and Mike wear M. James. _________________ Game recognize game, Granddad. - Riley Freeman, The Boondocks |

I agree. In many sports, like track & field, cycling, cross country skiing, you have a lot of athletes peaking in their late 20s early 30s. So 30 yo nowadays is not a geezer if you didn't sustain a major injury. I see a lot of 40 yo men kicking ass out of the 20s. |
