Yeah I really hate this format..I think its unfair to the team that has to play THREE games on another team's floor..it should be the 2-2-1-1-1 format just like in the playoffs that way its fair to both sides..but of course David Stern knows NOTHING about being fair

since '85. I don't like this format. I get that it's like this because of travel, but I feel that the road team has the advantage. b/c they have 3 games at home in a row.

if it means anything only Detroit in 04 was the only team able to win all 3 home games since the format was adopted.

this format is possibly handing miami its ring. if there's any justice in the world, miami will lose the series. totally unfair a jerk like shaq will win another ring. he's working so hard on defending and trapping the guards at the top of the key- stuff he did little/none of here. this is sick

I don't recall there being an NBA finals in 2004, so I have no idea what you're talking about.

didn't they do it in 90 w/portland too?

EDIT: on second glance, they didn't. that series went 4-1.

1985 was the first year they used the 2-3-2 format.
