Why the hell does the media keep saying Wade did this or that and leaving Kobe off the list? Just now, Hubie Brown says, "Wade joins 3 other guards in the history of the NBA to score 40 points and grab 10 rebounds in a playoff game." Kobe had 48 points and 16 rebounds against Sac. Turned around and had 45 points and 10 rebounds in the very next game vs SA.

I read an article yesterday that claimed Wade to be one of only 5 players under 25 years old to score 40+ points in a playoff game.

So, is the media simply idiots who fail to mention Kobe, not mention Kobe to make Wade sound better, or is this stat actually supposed to be for the NBA Finals only?

how are they leaving kobe off the list if he says "he joins 3 other guards?" Maybe kobe is one of those 3 guards.

My bad. He named the other 3 guards. West, Magic, and Jordan.

Both situations specifically said "playoffs", not Finals.

Well maybe he meant in the Finals ..... and everytime someone doesn't mention Kobe, it's not taking a shot at him. If Kobe was playing in the finals, they obviously would be talking about him.

I mean, why talk about someone, when they are not playing?

who cares? The bottom line is that Kobe gets no respect. What else is new?

This has been going on for so long now that this is old. Look at his MVP voting. Some left him off the top 5.

Kobe must take a team to the final to get respect from the majority of the mainstream media.

His loyal Lakers fans will always support him. But you are talking about these media personalities who have to remain unbiased and impartial.

I doubt that's the case. He gets respect, or he wouldn't have been labeled the NBA's "best player" by practically everyone.

Update:

Hubie's a moron. That stat was meant for the Finals. They showed it in the 2nd half.

Still doesn't answer the reason for the idiot who WROTE an article about it. He should really have an editor check his work next time.

Either A) you have your head buried in the sand or B) are a troll. The things people say and do... that you defend are just assinine.

No JD, I just don't look at every case and incident from a Lakers point of view first.

I love my squad but I'm not blinded by purple and gold. I'm a basketball fan first and I appreciate every aspect of the game even when the Lakers, which has been my favorite squad since 1977, are not involved.

I've been involved with this game from high school to even on the team at the Univeristy of Alabama with Latrell Sprewell, James Robinson, Bob Horry, et al. I know this game, have played this game on high stages and look at it from "every angle."

You can be a fan of a game and not wear purple and gold on every single aspect. You know you can do that right?

And to answer A) Nope it's in the air reaping the benefits a successful career and clear blue skies and B) I'm to old for that child-like crap. If I was a troll, this site wouldn't be my home page. I'm here to talk basketball .... nothing more, nothing less.
