If the Lakers DEF could have held the Spurs scoreless in the 4th, they STILL would have lost by 4 points.

I didn't, watch either... so I guess we both saved about 500 bucks by switching to Geico

I havent watched a Laker game for a while, if i did i would get a nervous breakdown or something, this team plays really dumb and ugly basketball. Besides that i would have to stay up real late to watch the games (til 5, 6 am)

Don't know what the big deal is. Spurs are one of the best teams in the league, and we're one of the worst, and are tanking. They will suffer, as well, when Duncan, TP and Manu retire.

They're playing with guys who have spent years in that system, many of them. They are outstanding on defense and execute precisely on offense.

Contrast that with us running out young guys who are new to the team, many of them. And it's tryout season.

The beat down was inevitable. As will the beatdown be in the other two times we play them this year, I'm sure.

These four games are almost certain beatdowns for us still to come this year

Spurs
Rockets
Clippers
Spurs

Right now, if we're losing it's good. I want as many ping pong balls as possible. Hopefully we don't get blown out, but I don't care if we do. As long as the guys try hard, I'm good.

Lakers still have some leftover tacos from the Spurs as a parting gift.

Spurs running similar plays... shows talent matters.

Its not just about the plays or the talent. The culture, the trust, the understanding, the clear definition of roles, etc. There was enough talent to beat OKC, Houston, Clippers and Portland.
