Kobe Jocker wrote: | They didn't consult Kobe on Brown or MDA either...how did that turn out?
The last coach Kobe lobbied for was Phil after 2005. |
Actually, they did talk to him when they fired Brown, and his top suggestion was MDA. It was later said he wasn't aware that Phil was available, but that's a separate issue. He WAS consulted. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

Anyone else think this is just the media spinning around Mitch's words once again?
Pretty sure if and when the Lakers part ways with Dantoni (whether after this season or after his contract expires) Kobe doesn't want the guilt of the dismissal of the coach to be made on his behalf. _________________ "Tryin' to get that Kobe number, One Over Jordan"

arent you sick and tired of the media blaming kobe for everything? phil left, shaq trade, dynasty break up, dwight left... you want to add in Coach fired..to that list?
come on fans. use your common sense on this one. if mda gets the axe .let that be on mitch and jim. we dont need any blood on kobe's hands this time. NON.
i dont want to hear bspn spin that on kobe for another full season. _________________ LAL4K3RS wrote: He(Kobe) is the white haired kung fu master that you realize is older than dirt but can still kick your arse when in a sitting position drinking a nice herbal tea. |

It would be bigger news if Mitch said we will ask Kobe if he wants MDA around. It will be impossible to hire a new coach because all they would do is try to appease Kobe. |

Signing Deng would make it very tough to also sign Love. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

You could sign both. You just wouldn't have much latitude to sign anyone else for more than 1 year beyond Kobe and the draft pick. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

Deng is ok but I worry about health problems with him as he gets older. Also he's not able to carry a team if Kobe goes down. Simply put he is an aging, off injured 3d option that won't be cheap. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
