Im not entirely sure Kevin's was a flop. He does get a little fancy with it, but I think it is from him being off balance - he was trying to lean into the defender at the same time as falling away, so it looked weird.
It's the feigned contact at the top of his jump. Look at how he snaps his head and neck backwards. Pure gold. I agree that the fall would not have been a flop by itself.
I am going to have to disagree with this. I saw no head snap (which is the tell tale sign of a flop). At all times he keeps his head toward the basket and eyes on the shot. A true flopper will look around. Martin instantly gets up, he does not pause after he falls - not one iota of a pause.
So, without the head snap, without the look around, without the pause - I have to veto this one.
You can barely see the play (it's at the bottom of the screen near half court). It's not that artful, but he got the call against Lebron. That's an A in my book.

I love the wince from the feigned contact, and I love the commitment to hit the floor. But going into the photographers . . . that's how you do it, baby.

Anybody ever wonder why Nick Young (Shaggy P) gets so many 4 point opportunities? He's a great flopper. James Harden is an elite flopper. I don't think its fair to put him on the same list with all these other scrubs. John Wall couldn't flop with Harden if his life depended on it. Harden is probably one of the greatest floppers our game has ever seen.

Ginobili is a totally overrated flopper. A lot of his spills are actually real falls. He's not even in Harden's league. I think it's between Harden and CP3, although CP3 has fallen off since his heyday in New Orleans (the whirly-bird flop is probably still the greatest of all time).
It seemed like the number of flop warnings declined after Silver took over. I wonder whether there is a correlation, or whether that was just a coincidence.
