I watched every single game bofore (but a pre-season one), but I just couldn't battle with the "I want the Lakers to win because I'm a fan but they need to lose for the draft" thing. Just can't stand it.

I'm with you. I hate to see the Lakers lose, ever. However, since they're so bad I don't want this season to be in vain, and I hope our chances for a top pick go up and up. Quite an ethical conundrum for a fan of the Lakers.

December 19th, 2013.

For someone that's only missed ~25 games in 16 years (I'm 28) it has definitely been an interesting experience. Didn't realize how much confidence and inspiration I derived from the Lakeshow, namely Kobe, until this year.

I don't even think I consider this franchise as the Lakers anymore. The games are just the logical result of the management.

Feel like I'm trying to convince myself that the cultural and institutional standards that were in place from 1979 to around 2011 are still there, and I'm having a very hard time doing it anymore. It's like seeing two pics of Michael Jackson from 1979 and 2009 and trying to convince yourself that they're of the same person.

Last full 48 I watched was when we blew out ...somebody on national TV.

The last seconds of the 82nd game. I'm a Laker fan and not a Kobe fanatic I guess.

Watched a few games (not the whole thing) at the beginning of the season when they were actually healthy and playing okay, then watched a few of Kobe's games. After that I pretty much stopped watching them entirely, would just end up watching bits and pieces if I happened to pass by the channel when looking for something to watch. I actually just started using them for comedic value as it was hilarious to see how bad they would perform in crunch time.

It's funny because they weren't good last year either, but I still watched nearly every game because I always felt like they had a chance to win the game.

I stopped seeking out most Laker games regularly once Mike Brown was hired and nothing changed when Mikey D was hired. I have tuned in from time to time even since for a very short peek for specific favorite matchups (Spurs, Thunder, Warriors), but as I have to keep my food down, I can't watch long.

I still watch. Got to appreciate times like these and savor those when we are on top winning chips.

I haven't been as excited to rush home to catch a game in its entirety for at least the past 3 weeks if not a little longer. I still watch when home, but not making an extra effort to get back to watch.

I've kept watching but stayed away from message boards. I prefer to suffer in silence.

Around February, when it was clear that Kobe wouldn't be coming back and that we'd finish at the bottom. I still frequently catch Laker games when they're close in 4th quarters, but I haven't bothered watching full games because most of our main guys have been injured & Blake was traded.

Just waiting for the draft night to see who we get, then the FA period, where we hopefully sign some decent players.

If you know that the season is a waste & that most of your starters are out, why watch/root? I still catch all the news & I check the stats & DB's recaps, but I just don't get involved as much. This season's actually helped me, because I've had more time to deal with other stuff whereas around 2010/2011 I would spend every minute watching the games & the interviews.

I never stopped watching, but I became more of a DVR it, watch it on and off type of fan for the last few months.

It's not so much the players I disliked as much as it was the head coach. I have little appetite to watch a group of players who are bad as a team, be coached by a head coach who I think simply is incompetent to lead the team.

Still it was nice to see some moments from Kelly, Young, Braze, even Pau had some great games. I don't hate the guys on this team. I just don't like the way we play or how we're coached at all. I had the same opinion last season, as well, BTW.

Same here, I watched until the end of the Spurs game on Wednesday. I did that despite being a "Kobe fanatic" though. You seem to indicate that there is something wrong with being a Kobe fan, or that there is some incompatibility between being a Laker fan and a Kobe fan.

I watch every game when available. Win or lose, always a Laker fan. Have been since 1954. Regardless of the players or who is coaching. It is tradition. Lakers for ever.
