A tiny bit extreme, no?

You all act as if the Lakers went into this season KNOWING the season was going to turn out this way.

As it stood, the Lakers were under the impression that that they were rolling out a starting line-up of Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol. That right there, is enough to get you at least into the playoffs when you take into the depth they had.

True. If it were 2010.
If they were able to stay healthy they still would be a considerable force.

Yeah. But as we painfully found out, health is a major part of the game. No more "on paper" teams please.

When do most teams usually fire their coaches after the end of a dismal season? Right after the last game? After exit interviews? Before the draft?

I would think they would do it as early as possible so they can get on with their future planning.

I think it will happen when the FO has their successor in line.

This might be true. Hopefully it's sooner rather than later.

My guess is later. At least until the playoffs are over and the FO can speak with everyone.

I wonder how many hints Mitch drops during his exit interview about Marshall?

"So wow, how about this weather? You know where else I've heard is nice this time of year? Huntington West Virginia. Yea I passed through there on a scouting trip with Jerry years ago, what a place. You're from that area, aren't you?"

With the movie "We are Marshall" playing on Mitch's TV in the background.
