If they buy Nash out, don't re-sign Pau would that increase the cap space? _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

$28.2 mil is the max - no Pau - no Nash (stretched) _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus |

Actually, with the projected $5 million increase to the cap ($63.2 milion), the lakers will have 27.9 million they can use even without stretching nash. If we were to stretch him we would have nearly 31 million to use. _________________ "I don't want to be the next Michael Jordan, I only want to be Kobe Bryant." --Kobe Bryant |

Can the Lakers make a draft day hand shake deal with Minnesota that has them picking for Minnesota and then later trading Nash, Sacre and the pick for Kevin Love? Could the Lakers put off the deal till they sign other free agents with the cap room that they have first? For example:
1. Lakers draft Aaron Gordon for Minnesota
2. Lakers sign LBJ with 20.25 of the 22.3 million of cap room
3. Lakers sign another free agent with the remaining 2 million in cap room
4. Lakers sign another free agent with the 2.5 million room exception
5. Lakers do the deal with Minnesota
Is this possible and if so, how likely do you see this happening? |

it'd be a deal agreed upon in June that would be executed quickly in July - it's unlikely there would be any sort of if/then scenario other than a firm deal in place _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus |

So do you think if the Lakers have the opportunity to do a draft day deal, they will take it and not even worry about saving money for Lebron? |

if they got a great draft day deal to get someone like Love? obviously depends on the deal - but they're going to be likely to take something that they view as favorable _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus |

They could secure such a deal on draft day if they are able to aquire another 1st rounder from somebody right? Do you think the Lakers will be able to do that? Maybe buy a pick from somebody and aquire an unwanted contract from that team by utilizing the Steve Blake trade exception? |

technically yes - but I don't anticipate the Lakers getting another first - more likely if there was a deal - it would bridge the July moratorium _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus |

Sounds like there is a good chance Kevin Love will be a Laker in the 2014-2015 nba season! |

Do you see any possibility of Dirk coming to play with Kobe? |

IIRC $9.5m. Every amount hurts. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
