Wow Kaman's already added to the Lakers.

Maybe Luol Deng in 2014. Dirk in 2014. Marc Gasol/Love in 2015.

Dirk too old...RG(Rudy Gay)/Love and Marc Gasol. We need Kemba Walker at PG in '15.

People keep saying Lakers are done,I tell'em,"A setback is a setup for a comeback." By 2015,get ready LakersNation there will be trolls aplenty to Blast.

At first glance, this Laker roster (thirteen as of today) is pretty shaky.

No healthy leaders, many old and broken players and lots of peripheral players. They are untested on the whole. Coach is not adaptable. That first unit without Kobe (and we may be without him - and his typical outputs - for a while I fear) may be as poor overall as any we've had in thirty years.

I'm preparing myself to be wishing for something as good as a 1995 or 2006 season outcome: at best, rising a little from the ashes of the prior season's mid-season coaching fiascoes.

Here is a nice list of the remaining available Free Agents, ranked in order (of how good they supposedly are).

Surprisingly there are many, many ex-Lakers on the list, most of them ranked at the bottom...

I see a few guys there I would not mind signing...

I would take Lowry and Monroe but none for the max...well, maybe Monroe if we have to. I dont fancy the idea of having Melo and Kobe in the same team, they both shoot a lot.

Don't sign anyone past '14. Keep Kobe (10 mill) and Gasol (8 mil) for cheap. Projected Cap of $58.5 mill, we can offer to near max deals. Let Gasol go and we can.

Lebron, Melo, and Kobe? Don't really want Lebron...
I'd like Rondo and Love.

2014:

Lebron
Melo

2015:

Rondo
Love
Aldridge

wow..that easy huh?

Maybe when Dr. Buss ran things in his heyday. Backroom trades, confidential verbal agreements, planning years in advance. Oh how I wish it were still that way.

Just thinking, maybe the Lakers can pick up Oden if the Heat are over the cap and we need a center badly???

Lakers should go after Deandre Jordan hard this off-season. The Clippers will probably not be able to retain him.
Another guy we should go after is Jimmy Butler.
The cap should go up, and we would be able to offer both close to max contracts.
We are also on pace to get a top 5 pick, and a pick from the Rockets.
Also Randle is coming back.
Before the draft
PG Clarkson
SG Kobe
SF Butler
PF Randle
C Deandre Jordan

Draft
1-5
Jahlil Okafor
Karl Towns
D'Angelo Russell
Emmanuel Mudiay
Rockets Pick
We can go many different ways adding depth to this team, and potential players to take starting jobs if injury or play allows.

A PG might be in play if we fall outside of the top 2, and Clarkson can be the 6th man since he can play PG and SG.

This team would be significantly better defensively, on the boards, and play at a tempo of their choice.

What up Eric!

What direction do you think the Lakers will go with their approximately 22 million in cap space?

What kind of contract do you see Danny Green getting? He is an elite shooter and defender with championship experience. He also offers some extra rim protection with 1 block per game. Do you think he would be a good fit with the Lakers?
