Damn. It seems every day a fixture from my youth is dying. My mom told me the worst part of getting old is that your friends start dying off, and I think I'm starting to get the picture.

One of my all time favorite actors. I still watch the Rockford Files. I always thought he was a man's man. Rest in peace, Mr. Garner. I will be watching Rockford Files today, in your honor.

I think that's the third worst part. The worst part is that the body is old but the mind may be young and the second part, if you're male, is that other men stop seeing you as dangerous.

Being in the PI business for the last 35 years, and after watching countless PI shows and movies, I can tell you that the Rockford Files show comes closer to the real thing than any other. Great show, great actor.
