Yeah, when Tigers and Lions fight in real life or have incidents that are accidental while in captivity, Tigers ALWAYS win unless it's a small female Tiger and a large Male Lion. Tigers are bigger, more agile and smarter than Lions.

Lions hunt in a pack. Tigers hunt on there own. When it's time for a 1 on 1 beat-down, my money is on the species that's been honed over millions of years of evolution into a solitary killer.

Discovery Channel or Animal Planet used to have a show called Animal Faceoff and when they put the tiger vs lion, the lion won.

This was pretty crazy.

Tiger trainer attacked by MULTIPLE tigers.

His buddy eventually came in to help with a pick axe. (struck sideways and back side to not hurt the tigers too bad)

I saw the full version on Netflix on some animals attack show. It was pretty crazy. That guy being attack held his own for quite a long time with just a stick.

I didn't say I agreed with the show, lol.

Man, that page has some good info:

Quote:
"The tiger severed the lion's jugular vein in a single stroke with its paw, leaving the animal dying in a pool of blood," officials said.

Quote:
John Varty, owner of the Londolozi Reserve in South Africa, said, "People always ask me which one is bigger? If a tiger and a lion had a fight, which one would win? Well, I've seen tigers crunch up a full-grown leopard tortoise like it was nothing. And lions try, but they just don't get it right. If there's a fight, the tiger will win, every time."

Quote:
John Smith Clarke, a British lion tamer, said in a lecture on the fight between a tiger and a lion given to the Glasgow Zoological Society while showing the actual fight on the screen, "in 100 cases out of 100 the tiger would always beat the lion. It was far more agile, it was not so clumsy in its moments, it was equally strong, it was equally armed, but it fought in a different way. The tiger very often fought rolling on its back and held the lion in its grip until it defeated him."

This was the craziest video I've seen of an animal attack(lion), watched it a few years back and it's so graphic I couldn't forget it.

Warning: Graphic violence

Tell you the truth, that looked like they were "playing" with him. If they were attacking him, it probably would've been a bite to the jugular and a snapped neck.

Yeah no kidding:

"At the Coney Island animal show in 1909, a male tiger killed a male lion. During the performance, a performing lion suddenly attacked a chained tiger by leaping through the air, landing on the tiger's back. Though hampered by the heavy neck chain fastened to the iron bars of the arena, the tiger was more than a match for the lion and mangled the lion to death".

That was the lion vid I tried to describe on the 1st page. Last saw it maybe 10 yrs ago, but that's one you don't forget. I don't know how much my memory fits with this, but scanning thru this, I see the victim with that glazed look and the guy with the handgun and the dead lion. That was a small lion, maybe Asiatic.

Yeah, that is not for the squeamish. That guy was probably seconds from dying. Surprised you even found that, but to be on youtube. I wasn't expecting that.

Good finish.

How many teams are named for lions and tigers? You have the LMU Lions and the Sandusky Nittany Lions, but Memphis, LSU, Mizzou, Clemson. Tons of tiger teams. Detroit has both, so they cancel each other out.

Then you got the Santa Cruz Banana Slugs. http://tinyurl.com/lvvf4em This slug is the tiger of slugs.

I want to take that Santa Cruz Banana slug and put it in a fighting pit with a bunch of other slugs and watch them slug it out.

Worst thing about that is one of the other videos they have associated with that one is zebra mating. I mean really, after watching a cat the size of a horse tank the fingers off a dude on the back of an elephant, of course you're in the mood for some wild equine porn.
