great response by Kobe.
I guess it is a good thing he accepts that, he won't get frustrated as much.
Instead, he is learning how to play with his current athleticism.
He might not be dunking on people every game now, but I won't be worry about Kobe's offensive game one bit. He is just too smart, too skilled, and too good. |

Kobe's comments are so true and I wish all young players would have that mind set. They seem to learn less and less of the smart skills and more of more of the one's that are athletic based. Then when these guys hit 30-32 or decline in athleticism, their careers are pretty much over.
Kobe is truly remarkable in that despite being out of prime athleticism from 2007 or so, he still had a MVP year after that and he still had best player on a championship team after that. I know some will argue otherwise, but I don't think Kobe from 2008-2010 and 2010-2012 was anywhere near as athletic as the 2001-2007 years.
It's for that reason I still believe he can play like a top 20/all-star player next season, assuming he can avoid a major injury. |
