Maybe KD was only putting the system up and not the player down but imho he would have been a lot more mature to

Let the person dissing George have their opinion and congratulate Kawhi..instead he has to diss Kawhi for some reason.
Kawhi was a role player..not one of the stars..

I just find Durants lack of maturity in this matter very childish..

Spurs definitely won't repeat, and Duncan and Ginobili have won their last title as well. I see Parker winning with another team.

Kobe's just a glorified JR Smith. Iverson and T-Mac could have easily won with Shaq. Heck maybe even Michael Redd.

Sarcasm buddy.

What Durant did was a total douche move.

One thing I find funny.. Lebron 29, Bosh 30, Wade 32. These guys are younger than the MJ/Pippen/Rodman trio that 3-peat. This is the first time following this game where I hear the excuse.. "the role players are old." Doug Collins said that and I had to laugh.

Too much mileage/injuries for Wade, his early career reckless play catching up with him. Bosh is trash.

Who's gonna beat the Spurs next year? If they resign Diaw/Mills, they have got to be the favorite to win it again.

Not sure motivation will be there again, and it depends on moves Thunder makes, as they have shown they can compete with Spurs.

Mark Medina ‏@MarkG_Medina

In ESPN interview, Kobe also brought up unprompted about Tim Duncan possibly getting 6th ring before him: "I'm not okay with that."

Kobe not even gonna congrats Duncan on his 5th ring smh.

No big deal; I'm sure Duncan never congratulated Kobe on his rings. nmh

That is what you want from a real competitor. Kobe is still in the League. He should never be ok with someone else getting a ring "while" he has the same opportunity.

Kobe and Duncan are not teammates

Expect Kobe to congratulate Timmy if he bumps into him or when the nba does the pure evil next year and schedules ring night for LAKERS VS SPURS

It wasn't unprompted. It was all part of a conversation about getting #6 vs others getting there first.

That's literally what rivals do. I can't believe anyone would have a problem with this.

Tim Duncan boldly stated "We have 4 more to go, we'll get it done this time."

Rivals compete. That's that.

I find it hilarious how a lot of ESPN anchors are acting as if they've just been to a funeral they're so depressed the Spurs won.

The media loves stories so this was the worst possible outcome for them.

The championships was run by what is basically a group of great roleplayers. There was no guy that scored 30 points a game that they can talk about endlessly, just the "boring" old Spurs. It made it even worse that LeBron played at a high level all series.

The media would have liked to see the Heat win so they could compare the Heat to the great Bulls and Lakers teams and start talking about a four peat. What would have been even better for ratings if the Heat lost while LeBron played horribly. Then they could spend hours bashing him and see their ratings soar through the roof.

They got the worst of both worlds with this outcome. The finals ended and there's really no storyline to talk about. They just have to close the book on the season and start creating rumors about the upcoming free agency period.

Lol man, Heat continue to be lucky, even when they lose. When Miami won their championships, there was nothing else going on, and people were talking about it constantly. Now that they lose, the World Cup starts, Tony Gwynn dies, etc.

I'm happy that the Spurs beat the Heat, but I can't understand why anyone can't design a decent NBA Champions t-shirt--for the love of (Pistol) Pete!

I did manage to find one I liked at the NBA store and ordered it though.
