Just for reference, here is the complete top 10 position list from ESPN:
Point Guards
1. Chris Paul, Los Angeles Clippers
2. Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder
3. Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors
4. John Wall, Washington Wizards
5. Kyrie Irving, Cleveland Cavaliers
6. Kyle Lowry, Toronto Raptors
7. Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers
8. Mike Conley, Memphis Grizzlies
9. Ricky Rubio, Minnesota Timberwolves
10. Ty Lawson, Denver Nuggets
Shooting Guards
1: James Harden, Houston Rockets
2. Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat
3. Monta Ellis, Dallas Mavericks
4. Jimmy Butler, Chicago Bulls
5. Dion Waiters, Cleveland Cavaliers
6. Tyreke Evans, New Orleans Pelicans
7. Victor Oladipo, Orlando Magic
8. Klay Thompson, Golden State Warriors
9. Manu Ginobili, San Antonio Spurts
10. Lance Stephenson, Charlotte Bobcats
Small Forwards
1. LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers
2. Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder
3. Carmelo Anthony, New York Knicks
4. Gordon Hayward, Utah Jazz
5. Nicolas Batum, Portland Trail Blazers
6. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks
7. Andre Iguodala, Golden State Warriors
8. Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio Spurs
9. Chandler Parsons, Dallas Mavericks
10. Rudy Gay, Sacramento Kings
Power Forwards
1) Lebron, Cleveland Cavaliers
2) Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Clippers
3) Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans
4) Kevin Love, Cleveland Cavaliers
5) Tim Duncan, San Antonio Spurs
6) Ryan Anderson, New Orleans Pelicans
7) Kenneth Faried, Denver Nuggets
8) Josh Smith, Detroit Pistons
9) Serge Ibaka, Oklahoma City Thunder
10) Melo, New York Knicks
Centers
1) Andre Drummond, Detroit Pistons
2) Demarcus Cousins, Sacramento Kings
3) Dwight Howard, Houston Rockets
4) Joakim Noah, Chicago Bulls
5) Greg Monroe, Detroit Pistons
6) DeAndre Jordan, Los Angeles Clippers
7) Marc Gasol, Memphis Grizzles
8) Al Jefferson, Charlotte Hornets
9) Roy Hibbert, Indiana Pacers
10) Al Horford, Atlanta Hawks

This has to be one of the worst lists I've seen from ESPN in a while. I could build multiple +.500, playoff-lock starting lineups with players left off the list.

1) Derrick Rose, Tony Parker, Eric Bledsoe, Jeff Teague
2) Kobe Bryant, DeMar DeRozan, Joe Johnson, Bradley Beal
3) Thaddeus Young, Luol Deng, Trevor Ariza, Paul Pierce
4) Lamarcus Aldridge, Chris Bosh, Zach Randolph,
5) Tyson Chandler, Omer Asik, Nikola Pekovic

Did they seriously put Lebron up there twice?

I'm more outraged by the lack of respect for Lamarcus Aldrige. smdh.

Because the list is based on projected win shares, not personal opinion. Guys like Kobe and Rose who barely played last year have their projected win shares severely impacted as a result, and thus they're not on the list.

Lists like this make me jaded to advanced statistics. Don't get me wrong. I know analytics are important when evaluating players. But whatever WARP stat ESPN used to justify their list is crazy.

WARP means Wins above replacement player. So how is Lamarcus Aldridge not on the top 10 position list? Take a lottery east team like Boston, Milwaukee, Philly, they would immediately become a playoff team if you replaced their power forward with him. LMA carried his team past Houston (with 3 players on ESPN's top 10 list).

Yeah, but he looked really good when he played and is still young. Age is a factor as well, and you also have to take into account that neither Kobe nor Rose looked all that good in the limited games they played in last year.
