WTF? Sounds totally economical and really necessary.. Wow

In a letter to the FAA dated Wednesday, Amazon said it is developing aerial vehicles as part of Amazon Prime Air. The aircraft can travel over 50 miles per hour and carry loads of up to 5 pounds. About 86 percent of Amazon's deliveries are 5 pounds or less, the company said.
"We believe customers will love it, and we are committed to making Prime Air available to customers worldwide as soon as we are permitted to do so," Amazon said in the letter.
Slowly but surely machine is displacing the human.
This means: more people put out of work due to this replacement which leads to fewer and fewer people with buying power which makes the economics principle of consumption more and more obsolete.
Or it may shift to a newer shift in paradigm within the monetary system/free market. Everyone will or can own their own machines and make their own products a dn sell/buy/barter that way.
"We believe customers will love it, and we are committed to making Prime Air available to customers worldwide as soon as we are permitted to do so," Amazon said in the letter.
They might be a low-cost alternative to the Pentagon:
"Excuse me, we have an Amazon Prime delivery for a Mr. Al Kayda."
What next? The Drug Dealer Drone? Colombian Drug Cartels could just cut out the middleman on the street corner and deliver that 8 ball direct? _________________ I'm On point, On task, On message, and Off drugs. Marlo would never go for that. _________________ “It took many years of vomiting up all the filth I’d been taught about myself, and half-believed, before I was able to walk on the earth as though I had a right to be here.”

I can see vandalism and theft being a huge problem.
Among many.
Attach cameras on drones that provide live feed back to the warehouse control? (Evidence) and then instant 911 call to the crime scene. (Via GPS coordinates)

Just watched a video of the testing of the drones. Not only did they show Amazon testing it with Amazon Prime Air, but Dominoes was testing it with Pizza delivery. Can only imagine the barrage of XL Pineapple and Canadian Bacon's dropping down onto major intersections during the initial stages.
