The A's hadn't scored in 29 innings before that run. Talk about inept.

And so we reach September.

Need to go 17-9 to reach 100 wins.

I think 15 wins probably clinches the division.

We need a solid road trip - I'd like 6 or 7 wins.

The key is to put ourselves in a position where the last 6 games of the season (on the road vs Oakland & Seattle) mean little to nothing.

pretty amazing how angels were able to pull it together after that terrible start. thought we would end up like last season especially after losing hamilton early. but we are playing well despite pujols/hamilton not having great years, mostly hamilton

CJ is so consistently disappointing.

Down early and still hasn't recorded an out.

And already thrown 21 pitches.

Pathetic . . . 27 pitches to record 1st out and down 3-0. And that out travelled 400 feet.

Beyond giving us no chance in this game, he's going to compromise the bullpen on the first game of this 10 game trip.

Division lead pushed to 6 games.

Okay week so far at 2-2, 22 games left (12 road, 10 home).

Detroit is within 2.5 games of the A's for the last wildcard spot. What a downfall it would be if they fail to make the playoffs and that trade will most likely be the culprit which started it.

The A's are 1-7 in their last 8 games. Seattle is only a couple of games behind them.

Kazmir and Chavez are showing who they really are. One is a notch below average MLB pitcher the other is just about average. Both career 4.0 ERA type guys that were playing WAY, WAY, WAY above their heads at points.

Dodgers fans saw it with Dan Haren this year. Started off torrid and his ERA is promptly right back to where we expected it at this stage in his career.

CJ has been just brutal lately. Not only is he giving up runs, but he's just not giving us enough innings. The bullpen has enough issues trying to make up for Garret's injury by basically platooning the 5th spot in the rotation. We can't have another starter giving us only 5 innings per start.

The Astros closer has blown 4 games against the A's this season. That guy should get votes for being the MVP of the A's.
