C'mon, dude. Don't be THAT guy.

1. Restoring Laker pride (doesn't necessarily mean Wins every night, but playing with heart and grit - accountability)
2. Kobe. ( I'm hopeful he will finally find a good balance to his game and finish his career strong. No reason he can't get a ton of triple doubles if he plays smart and efficient)
3. New blood. Seeing how the guys mesh together and play for each other and coach B.

1. The return of Kobe. Seeing Kobe go on fire on the 3Q and 4Q bring fear to opponents. By or shortly after Christmas beat MJ's record is priceless!
2. Randle/Hill - work so well that they are the rebounding machine.
3. Linsanity - bring some excitement and synergy to the team basketball.

and the most important one: Byron Scott re-establish the Lakers brand.

Looking forward to/hoping...

1. Scott instills a gritty junkyard dog mentality to the defense where opponents respect but hate playing the Lakers.

2. Jeremy Lin throwing lobs to Randle, splashing 3's and making last second shots like Fish use to do bringing back the swagger.

3. Jordan Clarkson getting enough playing time reminding the league why Mitch is the best gm around.

Kobe - Proving that he's still elite

The Other Guys - Lin, Swaggy P, Randle and X bringing excitement and winning games. Also Sacre providing energy on the bench. Nash hopefully being effective

The Trade Deadline - I have a feeling that Mitch will pull off a trade that lands us a shot blocking big man and a small forward. I have a feeling that I'd be like 2008.

1. Kobe (#4 with 31,700 points) surpassing MJ (#3 with 32,292 points) on the all-time NBA scoring list.

2. The young players (Randall, Jordan, Henry, Kelly & Sacre) playing with enough talent and drive to help attract some top talent 2015 free agents. The top free agents want to go to a team that can win a championship. Its the young players that will attract them. That...and money.

3. The old guard (Kobe, Nash & Boozer) playing so that they will be named to the all-star team.

I can dream.

Kobe passing MJ in career points. Randle and Lin killing it. Game 7 finals when we shock the World.

Actually quite a few things i am looking forward to.

1. Randle-
2. Kobe's return
3. How Scott does with this team. I am really pulling for him. GO Scott!
4. Clarkson- Was summer league a fluke or can this kid really play
5.guys working out with kobe (young, Lin etc) lets see if it pays over to the court
6. Nash- are we finally going to get 15-20 min. a game from him

This team could either be a 6-8 seed or flop and end up in the lottery again. One thing i can say about Scott... he is going to bring a attitude and culture back to this franchise that has been missing since PJ, and think that alone will make a world of difference. I honestly think as long as Kobe stays healthy and can play at 85% of what he use to be we can make the playoff this year.
Mitch put together a better squad than last year, brought back players from last year who showed promise, drafted some good kids, and made some decent pick ups in Boozer, Davis and Lin while managing to maintain cap flexibility with short contracts. I can honestly say i am looking forward to this year a lot more than last year.

1) Seeing the latest iteration of Kobe. Hoping he can focus on simply being a finisher.
2) Randle and Clarkson's development. I'm hoping Randle has that 17footer down by preseason and is confident in it throughout the year. He could get ROY if so.
3) Seeing if Lin can run the ship and be an above average starting PG

1. Randle

He's the future - and, for me, he's the main bright light of the up-coming season. That being said, I'm expecting a very up-and-down rookie year. I imagine we'll see flashes of brilliance, but mostly, a lot of mistakes and learning opportunities. It's going to be a fun ride watching him develop.

2. Kobe

I've been very critical of Kobe's game for a long time now, so I'm really hoping his age/injuries will make him a smarter, more well-balanced player (between scoring and passing). But one of the aspects of Kobe's game that I absolutely love is his back-to-the-basket game. I hope we see a lot of low-, mid- and high-post opportunities for Kobe all season long.

3. Coach Scott

After the MDA disaster, I love that B will be attempting to re-instill the old school Laker culture. It's exactly what the franchise needs. That being said, I'm not expecting a lot of the current players to thrive in it - which is fine by me. Keep/bring in players that fit; move the players that don't. It may take a few years to get the blend of players, but I think, after two highly-questionable coaching hires, we're moving in a good direction.

I'm also looking forward to seeing what Lin, Ed Davis and Clarkson can do.

Clarkson: I think he has a ton of potential and I would like to see the Lakers truly develop him, rather the D-League or in NBA Games. I want to see what he pans out to be.

Randle: The number 7 pick in the draft should bring high hopes to the Lakers organization, I'm hopeful to see a player who is dominant, able to score and provide some solid defense.

Hill:
Hopefully Hill gets significant playing minutes alongside Boozer and Randle and I'm hoping he pans out to be a better NBA C/PF than everyone thinks he will be. He's young and still has room to grow and has NOT reached his ceiling, I think he's a late bloomer at the NBA level, but if he can give us 10ppg and 10rpg along with 3 blocks, consistently that would be great!

I'm looking forward to Kobe returning, Randle being what we think he is, and the lakers winning more games than expected. But I also really want to see a few guys put it together:

I want to see Hill realize the only thing holding him back is the lack of discipline and focus to take care of himself and commit to playing over partying.

I want to we Wes realize that a Bruce Bowen role is perfect for him, and commit to it.

I want to see Lin put it together and have a great season.
