I would be surprised if the Giants didn't score again this inning.

Really doesn't matter, though. Giants not losing this game. Their manager is managing to win - Rockies don't even care.

Sub in Joc for Puig or SVS, and Guerrero for Hanley.

This will most likely come down to Dodgers/Giants at the end of the season. I'm not sure about the last three games, but we need to line up Kershaw, Greinke and Ryu for the first three.

I'm done with Hernandez - 4th HR given up tonight. Kershaw, Greinke and Ryu better win the rest of their games.

Great way to start September. Worst time of year to be playing poorly. It won't surprise me to see the Giants take over the division by Thursday.

What do you have to lose if you put in Joc and Guerrero?

If Kershaw wins the rest of his games, and we win the division by one or two games, you better give him the damn MVP.

Another fail trailing after 7 innings. What is it now 1-50 this year?

I think the lead was 2.5 going into today. Giants split and the Dodgers lost so the Giants gained a .5 game today. ESPN updated standings tonight has the Dodgers with a 2 game lead over the Giants.

LA Dodgers 77-61
San Francisco 75-63

Not that HR's are the end all, be all but man, we're 25th in the league!

A team with Hanley, Kemp, Agon is THIS bad. Jeez guys...

What makes it all the more curious, is there is seldom, Gonzo notwithstanding, a time where you see a swing not from the heels by the middle of the line up guys. You would think Dodger Stadium would account for some of this, but the team is 12th at home, and 12th on the road--though they have played 4 more road games. Huh?

Is Julio Urias Ready For The Big Leagues?

Summary

The questions I had earlier in the year with Urias were in regards to his physical build. I thought it could be a body that would need maintaining, because it displayed a good amount of thickness to his lower half. He looks thinned out some and even a little taller from earlier in the season, which only helps silence my durability questions.

There is no questioning the stuff, however, as it is an arsenal consisting of three present above-average plus offerings with a solid-average fourth. Based on pure action, it’s a pair of plus pitches with a third on its way in the very near future, and the fourth and final offering being a quality change of pace type. The stuff and command is here for a top-of-the-rotation starting pitcher.

It is safe to say he absolutely doesn’t belong in High-A. So, where does he belong? To answer my own question, Urias is a “now” pitcher rather than a projection play, so I do think he could hold his own and then some in a big league rotation while flashing incredible potential. With that in mind, I wouldn’t want to waste too many of Urias’ bullets in his left arm in the minor leagues, where he will chew up the competition.
