Rings, though important, should not be the main consideration for GOAt status.
Same with All Star appearances (cause, for example, in the last 10 years any chump could get into the All Star game if you played in the East).

Of course all nba should trump all star selections since starting 5s are picked exclusively by the fans.

At this point, I think there's no reason to say that Duncan would have to win X number more rings to be considered in the top Y players. He's been in the league for 17 years. | His last ring, and his next ring are as a role player. He is with Kobe and MJ as far as being way ahead of Lebron, but that's it. He isn't past Kobe, MJ, Magic, Wilt, Kareem, etc. |

All-NBA selections should be FAR more important than All Star appearances.
