Are we going to start hearing the "MVP" chants again for Kobe during the road games this season?

I'm just hoping that Kobe will be healthy enough to play those games.

Surprisingly, I think Kobe will get a warm welcome from the opposing arenas this season ala Mariano and Jeter.

OP you act like MVP chants are some controlled event. I'm pretty sure anyone at anytime can start mvp chants if they want too.

Yes. There are Lakers fans all over. Unless those teams are really good (OKC, Cleveland, San Antonio, and maybe a few others) the season ticket holders will take advantage of the high prices Lakers games sell for and the Lakers fans will be filling those arenas.

In Houston the arena is probably 60-40 split depending on the roster for Rockets/Lakers. If we beat them the same way we beat the Dippers last year opening night, I'm about 99% sure it'll be a 70-30 split in Houston. Rockets-to Lakers fans

I'm sure if he has a stellar game on the road, the MVP chants will be heard.

For crying out loud, I think I heard MVP chants for DeRozan once in a Raptors game. Kobe's "MVP" chants may not correlate to actual MVP chances, but who cares. Lakers fans will be seeing him for the final times soon. I'm going to try to catch him out here in the East too (likely 76ers games b/c they're so cheap!).

Some people hear voices that aren't evident to most of us. Gawd knows what chants those guys hear.

I hope he passes Michael Jordan on the all time scoring list in Chicago or Charlotte right infront of the man.

Actually, I was half asleep when i commented, I thought the question was "Are you ready for MVP chants?" And I was trying to be sarcastic. Of course, I do expect Kobe to get MVP chants everywhere, including Boston and Miami.
