Probably some sort of sarcasm miscue.

The original statement blaming MDA for the coming season with the joke of course being that MDA is no longer with the team. Then the subsequent poster took it as if you were serious (or maybe he actually thought you were serious and missed your original joke), and the accusation and joke being that you must be one of the Rockets fans coming to the board to troll Lin followers because you don't even know who the coach of the Lakers team is.

Jokes are a lot less funny when they need to be explained

Ah, I hadn't even thought of that but it makes sense. I actually hadn't meant it as a joke at all. I fully expect MDA and Jim to continue to receive blame for Phil and Dwight not being here, Kobe's injuries, and just an overall setting back of the team for several seasons. I don't agree that they're to blame for this downturn, but I do expect the blame to linger for a while.

It won't be Kobe since 50% will think he is the best player in the league and 50% will think he is the only one to blame for losing games. It won't be Lin for similar reasons. I think it will be Boozer: doesn't play defense, holds Randle development. After Jim of course..

I agree. I like Randle's potential, but this team is starving for young talent and a future, he is bound to have amazing hype following him. Hype that will turn fans against Boozer, even if Boozer does exactly what is expected. I think there was a Henry Rollins standup where he talked about Iron Maiden fans HATING any band that opened for Maiden. As if they were the reason that Maiden wasn't on yet, and if you boo them off the stage Maiden will magically appear. I could totally see fans doing this with Randle, and you're right about the defense.
