J-CHILL is finally getting his chance and the big bucks. Now it's time for him to produce. We shall see.
Quote: | A quick glance at Jordan Hill’s five-year NBA career shows glimmers of greatness, sudden bursts of brilliance and enough stretches of high-energy athleticism to warrant an opportunity at a full-time gig playing center and power forward for the Los Angeles Lakers. |

To be fair his big contract IMO was because he accepted the fact the 2nd year of his contract is a team option. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

He needs to come to camp in shape if he wants to do that and no one has heard anything of him this off-season and he hasn't even been in pre-training camp like Davis has. |

If he could improve his conditioning to be a 30 mpg player he'd be a beast. He can play that much sporadically but not regularly. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Time for some of us to figure out that he is nothing more than an injury prone, low skill, glorified garbage man. |

A healthy and consistent Jordan Hill is an all-star caliber player. We'll see if he has what it takes... |

If someone at his age can't play at least 35 mpg, they better have a heart problem |

If he could stay on the court, he would make a huge difference for us. This is his opportunity to do just that. |

I think Ed Davis will either take Hill's spot as starter or earn the majority of playing time between the two. |

Big Ed will log plenty of playing time because of his defense & hustle. |

For $9 mil a year, he had better have his fake Rastafarian ass on the court consistently. If he doesn't average a double-double, I will consider him a failure. _________________ Lakers, today. Lakers, tomorrow. Lakers, forever. |

Think about it this way. We are paying a combined $11 million for Hill, Davis, and Sacre. It's a downright bargain! _________________ You are either in or on your way to the NBA Finals. |

Jordan Hill has the tools to succeed. However we don't hear much about his work ethic.
I hope that it does not become an issue because he is expected to really produce for us this season.

Add Randle Kelly and boozer and for under a max contract you have an entire front court. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Hey. whatever it takes to offset having an ubermax contract for a player with all-star caliber production.
likewise, I think Hill making 9 mil is a smart move. Just the timing of it is curious. eventually going over the tax threshold. Perhaps signing him earliest so he and his kwame-like expiring contract can be traded sooner. That said. Hill will have a fabulous year. around 5/12/1.5 is my prediction. overall that would be better than Pau's production. |

I'm not completely sold on that notion just because Dantoni said it. Doesn't make it so. Dantoni was a joke. I think he was saying that J Hill couldn't play mins as an excuse to his own poor decisions. I myself didn't witness a lack of energy , he seemed to flourish with increased mins. I knew that when Dantoni became coach that if he did with J Hill as he did in NY it would be his own undoing.... Bye bye Dantoni...good riddance. J Hill is still here. _________________ Go DODGERS !!!! |

We should be able to get at lease 20ppg, 14rpg and 2bpg out of the Hill/Davis combo at C. I would take that just wish we had more intimidating rim protection though, but Davis could develop in to that with his great length. |

Agreed; Together they could be a great combo.
Davis won't give us much on offense but his defense is really good.
J. Hill will rebound and get plenty of "garbage" points.
I think they will compliment each other quite well. |

Hopefully he will get a clue on help defense this season, that seems to be a foreign language to him. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |
