Hopefully she puts it into good use. But a lot of cases they blow it and just waste taxpayer money.

I thought 1.5m was actually too little given the fact she would have obtained substantially more in front of a jury.

"Dude. You should beat me down for no reason. Just beat the ever-loving (bleep) out of me. I'll do a 20 million dollar lawsuit and we split the money. Retire to the Philippines or some (bleep)."

I was thinking the same, I'm a skeptic. I thought they threw the officer under the bus too save the state some money.
