I really like what little I have seen of Clarkson.
Actually I really like both players from this draft so far.

To be quite honest, julius has been impressive thus far from what we have seen, but I think clarkson has actually been more impressive. His size, athleticism, finishing ability, attitude...he's going to be something in this league.. that much seems certain, barring major injury. At his position I think he's got abilities that will allow him to stand out down the line.

Good video. I like what Ryan Kelly said on both rookies. Camp already opens Tuesday. Can't wait...

I was at all the summer league games. Clarkson has the it factor.. Seems to always to be in and around the play. Very confident. And can back it up. When he had the ball always seemed to make things happen. Kobe light. Will be a laker fan favorite.

I love what little I have seen of Clarkson up to this point. This 2014 draft class is the best we've had in a long time. The sky is the limit with Randle and Clarkson.

Don't forget you also have the other best player on Clarkson's team Jabari Brown on your camp roster.

If his game can translate at the next level and his scoring remains, Lakers may have a second steal.

Like what I saw there from the highlights.

Golden state has the Splash brothers. We could have our own version of the Slash brothers with these two.

I know it's just preseason but;

Damn, he is the steal of the draft. I love his pace, and attitude. He doesn't play like a rookie.

Even in a poor shooting night, he still contributed a lot to the game.

Yeah Clarkson had off shooting night, but I loved his aggressiveness, attitude, hustle towards the game. Lakers got luckily he slipped to 2nd round he could of been late first round pick.

I like the aggressiveness but as a pg, he took the iffiest of shots, his court vision was lacking and he was lost rotating on defense too often for me to even imagine him playing any minutes this year outside of garbage time. I hate that the ball clearly got sticky with him when he's supposed to be the pg. We have Kobe and Swaggy, we don't need our rookies to shoot with the team out of position. Everyone played to run through the defensive/offensive schemes that they practiced this past week while Jordan played to selfishly for a pg tryout, imho. It's only one pre-season game, but I hope Jordan can get close to understanding his role on defense without getting lost so often or breaking the offensive rhythm before we give him rotation minutes. There is some talent there so we shall see. I hope he kills it the next game.

Liked his aggressiveness, but at one point or another he has to give the ball up. I know he had lanes to do runner after runner, but I saw a few times where he had JLin rotating with him and was open for 3.

At least he hit a few shots though.

Even though he was pressing a little too much last night, I thought JC looked pretty good. He definitely has a lot of potential, and I was even surprised at all the responsibility they gave him so early. Maybe it's just testing him out during preseason, but a good deal of the 2nd team's offense ran through him.

As I've said before, he reminds me of the Orlando Magic version of Courtney Lee. Very similar styles, sizes, and both played the 1 and 2 positions. Now if he can bring the defense that Lee brought back then, we definitely have something good on our hands. Clarkson has a little edge on offense over Lee(better at creating his own shot), and early on it looks like Lee had the edge on defense(but it looks like JC has the tools and drive to defend well).

Lee didn't have the handles and explosion to the basket that JC had last night. I loved the kid's confidence, which he will have dial back a little re: shot selection, but he could create his own shot. Maybe Scott told him to take up Swaggy's scoring load a bit? This kid may be our backup combo guard for a long time.

His shot wasn't falling tonight.. but they were makeable shots. He had a few bad shots but for the most part the floaters were shots he likely can make on a regular basis.

This would be a whole other conversation had those floaters dropped. This board would've been advocating for Nash to be traded immediately and Clarkson promoted to starter lol.

He's def a rotation player and he'll learn to finish, and to take shots within the context of the offense. Played like he didn't have a contract last night. Like that hunger, but he needs to rein in just a bit.

Oh, I agree.

So.. is the infamous "Chaz" going to receive any credit for this draft pick? Or is he only recognized when something goes wrong or when he's being used to insult Jim Buss lol.

Two second round steals (Ryan Kelly and Jordan Clarkson) and a very, very good first round pick in Julius Randle.

Hopefully, this upward trend continues next season when the Lakers have a (or possibly 2) first round picks at their disposal.

I just hope he can pick up some good motivation from kobe and nash.

I'm sure the guy works hard, but maybe being with HOF's can give him a push..

I just remember all the love we have for javaris.. then yea...

Please jordan, just keep working. Keep in mind that anything you can contribute to the team is already a lot more than what was expected lol
